Name top 10 Stanford runners who made it big because of their diploma. What are they doing now? Top runner needs to have been an NCAA finalist (at minimum).

Leo and Lex are both reasonably smart. Not as smart as the 4.0 GPA and perfect SAT score that some incoming Stanford students have, but they won't be getting a lousy GPA in a stupid degree.
Forget about these low salaries, barely being able to support their families making $150-180k starting out. Are any of these graduates even real men? Have they served the armed forced or cared for an elderly parent or disabled family member?
Don't get me wrong - $180k, especially right out of college, isn't a bad salary at all.
That being said, a competitive programmer / math competition person going to a T5 college (i.e. USACO Platinum and/or USAMO medalist) would have to perform badly in an interview to "only" make ~180k. Aiming for ~300-400k jobs is the norm, so anything less would seem like a failure.
He's basically saying anyone can land a FAANG software engineering job(which does pay those salaries to new grads) but that's not true.
Also just because you go to a T5 school doesn't mean you will get a PE or quant trading job. Those are rare even at those schools. People who get them are outliers and not the norm.
I was looking into the whole eligibility issue and in contrast to Stanford's own website, NCAA D1 xc results last year listed Hicks (4th), Robinson (14th), Hart (80th), and Sprout (81st) as freshmen, which would make them juniors (if they don't go pro) when the Youngs arrive. For NAU, Young was listed as a freshman, Bosley as a sophomore, Kusche as a junior, and Hastey and Quax as sophomores. Raff was listed as a junior. So, next year, they're projected top five might be Young (11th), Bosley (13th), Sahlman, Hastey (39th), and Quax (114th). Another Sahlman might help. But NAU has won 5 of 6 xc titles--not always with the best recruits, like Nur and Grijalva--and Stanford has often underwhelmed relative to expectations, so it is not obvious that Stanford will ride two freshmen to the title next year.
I'm pretty sure I've seen Quax in results dating a few years back, like I think he overlapped with Grant Fisher? Charlie Hicks I think the announcers said he was a sophomore last year in XC and he was all-american in the 2021 outdoor season in the race when Patrick Devers of Tulsa won, so he's at least a sophomore.
And Cole Sprout was clearly injured. I'm unfamiliar with Hart. I think Kusche is a wildcard that could decide it. I also think an injury or two could swing everything.
Actually, I think there's an argument that Hastey and Quax have hit their peaks whereas it usually takes freshmen a year to develop and integrate so someone like Tristian Merchant (the Alaska state record holder at 8:51 unchallenged) or Santiago Prosser could eclipse Hastey and Quax

Lots of kids "take AP classes". My next door neighbor actually teaches AP courses at our local HS and that doesn't mean the students who take her AP classes get solid A's. This subject was brought up before.
To be blunt: Leo and Lex taking AP classes doesn't have jack to do with them getting into Stanford nor does it tell you just how smart they are. I know kids who nailed 5 AP classes, perfect grades, and Stanford wouldn't give them a look. But...if they were this person's child or that person's, they'd have been accepted.

No. You obviously didn't major in a STEM field. You get rusty as soon as you step away for more than a few months.
That's true, but don't assume that just because someone graduates and goes pro that they aren't doing other non-running things behind the scenes. Some are getting master's degrees, some have part times jobs, etc.
