Mickow just fell at that water stop
Michow fell!
My Dark horse is Daniel Do Nascimento from Brazil. He was in front at the Olympics with Kipchoge until 30k. And now probably he has the wheels to survive after that wall.

Correction - was Mickow
Oof, Mickow. 😨
Hutchins said that the only two Americans are Rupp and Mickow, but there's also Elkanah Kibet
The Bolivian at the front has a 209 best but I don't think he can keep it up. I think some of those guys are overextending themselves in the heat of the moment. Chance for TV time and sponsorship perhaps ?

I think Hutchings disrespects country to country transfers even if they are for pragmatic reasons as was the case with this Kenyan who became an American thanks to his American army stint
Yes, no love for Elkanah Kibet.
Perhaps what I dislike most about developments in T&F at the major championships is that the marathons no longer finish in the stadium. It's a real shame that the winner does not get the adulation of the stadium crown instead being greeted at the finish line by a few hundred people mostly journalists and officials.
Anyone agree?
What a cool course. They were just running down a side street about 10 feet wide. You don't see that in many major marathons. How cool is that?
Dechasa has the body shape of an MMA fighter and I wouldn't be surprised if he could do 20 pull-ups with perfect form
Garibay (Bolivia) trains in Oruro, at 12200ft above the sea.
The CNBC feed listed the last two 1k times at 2:58 each. That is 4:44.8 mile pace which is a 2:04:20 marathon pace.
Coogan is right too narrow at water spots.

Yes, I agree. Especially at the Olympics!
