I should be able to leave my wallet on the roof of my car overnight without anyone stealing it, too. Alas, that's not the world we live in.
My local school has had the 'one entrance' policy for years now. Doors are all automatically locked during school hours with an intercom system for visitors. No fuss, no muss. Hasn't affected anyone's use of the outdoor track, either.
