But wouldn't the better option be to stop, pick up and tie on her show and start running again? Especially in a slow10000 qualifier when there was over half a race to run.
I don't know. You have to make a fast decision and maybe she didn't know where the shoe went or maybe she thought it might take too long. I won't question her decision.
who enjoys running 10ks man im pretty sure she doesnt like 10k that much as a 5k so she was like
maybe losing my shoe was a sign to not continue this ...and focus on the 5k
Think it depends because if she tied it super tight then it got clipped off she would’ve had to untie all the knots and then put it on and retie that which could easily take 40~ seconds so 200m
off topic, just found out katelyn tuohy finished her junior year at school this semester !!
next year she will graduate ... what ? shes 20 .. arent you supposed to be 22 as you graduate college??
she took some AP courses in HS
but didnt she take physics related courses ?? but oh well i guess she finished all the math courses early because she was in engineering
if katelyn tuohy continues to improve and can win titles, pretty sure shes not gonna enroll for that master's program next year .... we know what would happen
shockers in women’s 10k who didn’t quality: Nicole Fegans, Lauren Ryan, Hannah Steelman, Skylaar Boegard who ran well at SECs
interesting race results all round.
it wasn't even a fast pace either, over 17 at half... only the last three laps were under 80 seconds. Steelman has been on and off injury and Boegard ran the race of her career so far at SEC, but Fegans and Ryan have run well very recently (1st and 3rd at ACC, 32:56 and 33:00 SBs) so really surprised they didn't make it even on an off day.
maddy denner can only have 1 good race per year.... not even joking, she runs 1 really good race then thats it... same with lauren ryan, but its one good race per season for her..
maddy denner is talented but the ND program not as good as before lately
She has to be considered one of the favorites for the 100 in Eugene.
I just watched that race and she literally left everybody at the start. She ran that race solo she could of turned around mid race and ran backwards and still won.

This is probably the answer. She'd only run one 10k before this ever. Not really her thing I don't think
Zarbo of OR who ran so well at Pac 12 is way out of it in 10000.
very surprising. Megan Hasz, Zarbo, Denner, Ryan, Boogerd, Steelman, and Fegans all do not qualify on. Covert does well to qualify, but was throwing in random surges all throughout the race, must stay patient if she wants to be in it at the end in Eugene.
Weather will be a big factor in what everyone runs, including Sahlman. If weather was not an issue my guess would have been low 3:55 to high 3:56. If the weather is really bad, 4:02-4:04. Somewhat bad, 3:58- 4:01.

Ignore that post. Don't know what happened to Zarbo after running well at Pac-12.
