So removing the ability to use legal tender (cash) moves us away from a police state?
Yes why the f**k do you want the government to force you to accept THEIR CURRENCY - that they have completely control over. This is literally what hyperinflationary governments do months before complete collapse.
Why?
Because the government will have the power to shut you down at the flip of a switch. The Ministry of Truth decides that your Twitter post was contrary to the common good. You have been punished and your credit card is invalid. The big corp / big state works in concert.
THEY LITERLLY JUST DID THIS TO RUSSIA!! Granted, that's a nice weapon to use on another country, but now they can and will use it on their own citizens.
There is a level of stupidity in here that is astounding even by LetsRun standards. I don’t normally venture into this type of thread so perhaps it’s the norm.
In all seriousness, I don't understand why you're so triggered by this Carmine. Just because you were mildly inconvenienced when you went to a baseball game and disagree with the policy that inconvenienced you, it doesn't mean there's a conspiracy involved. Seems like a pretty inconsequential issue to me.

Cashless society = total control by the elites.
No conspiracy?
Why eliminate the use of cash?
Inconvenient for the customer. Inconvenient for the vendor.
There's a lot of waste with those kind of pre-paid cards. The credit often has an expiry date. People forget it's on there. Or they don't use anywhere near the amount they topped up.
Domino's Pizza in the UK doesn't accept cash. Neither do quite a lot of independent restaurants. It's really annoying. I don't think it should be allowed either.
We have been flooded with emails and letters from readers who say they had to walk out of shops empty-handed after being told they are no longer allowed to use cash.
