CRT is real, but the politicians are blowing it up and making it exist where it doesn't. Just like the left makes racism where there isn't any (not saying it doesn't exist, just not the way they push it).

And I go back to my original question: if there is no CRT in the books then why do you care if different books are used?
This is actually a really good question.
What if the actual content, quality, and presentation of the newly selected books is much worse than the ones (incorrectly) identified as containing "CRT"? We get bad books with no CRT instead of good books with no CRT.
What if the newly selected books are actually published by cronies of the politicians that are all going crazy about fake CRT, and people are getting kickbacks for banning the previous books (which also contained no CRT)?
Those are two examples, but I'm sure people could come up with others.
Probably more that they didn't send a big enough check to the relect DeSantis fund.
Everyone is focusing on CRT. But common core is the main reason. I am guessing any book approved for that is getting axed also. If they could post CRT issues, they would have. The complaints are probably along the lines of zero being invented in 3bc. Our books had them two and nobody cared.
We get the posts about teachers doing drug math all the time (goes back to at least the 70s) as jokes about how to make math relatable to inner city kids. No one is writing text books like that.

You can choose to live in the State of Washington or the State of Florida, and if you want, you can even base your decision on the laws of the state with which you most agree. There are also 48 other states, several territories, and even a special governmental enclave known as a district, in which a person can choose to live or not live based on their liking.

Fair use would allow quoting of the offensive sections. But there is a reason why they are quoting something from Missouri (not exactly a crt hothead) rather than something in a text book.

More seriously, my guess (so I would like to see actual examples) is that math is being implied to be, or made to be, subjective.

Socially and politically constructed, whiteness is not simply referring to skin color but is an ideology that reinforces power at the expense of others and strengthens systems of oppression. Let’s dig deeper.
Combining the two. Whites are racist and will force you to do things like work hard and be on time, and if you are doing math, you might even be forced to employ 'Objective, rational linear theory' or have a 'Quantitative emphasis'.
So I do wonder what a math textbook written by those doing exhibits at one of our government museums would be like.

Five pages in. Has there been a single plausible example in a math textbook submitted for use in Florida schools? No, a worksheet given out in a Missouri public school once doesn't cut it, and even if biographical information about Maya Angelou were worked into a word problem there, how would that be "CRT"? Florida is practicing Orwellian thought control. You know that the government surveyed university students and employees as to whether they were conservative or liberal (no other option--moderate appeared in one other question), etc.? They're also making sure they can survey every single syllabus in the university system in advance, approve or disapprove, in case they don't like what's being taught. How is this not Orwellian?
This makes total sense to me. I am a math teacher at a private high school and we also rejected several textbooks for the same reason.
All kinds of crazy liberal woke examples in the textbook. It sounds crazy until you actually pick up and read these books. Many textbook companies know their textbooks will be chosen by teachers unions not for being excellent, but for being the most woke.

Well, that last bullet point contains improper English ("does" rather than "do"). And the rest seem to be quite distracting from math.
I read the PDF and saw the SWBAT (Students Will Be Able To...). But I don't understand some of the SWBAT. They seem... well... a bit subjective for math, which to me is pure science. For example, can someone explain this to me? It's one of the SWBATs and I'm trying to understand its purpose for being in a math curriculum.
