Did anyone else notice that Will Smith laughed at the joke?

For Rock this is a WIN WIN. He made the joke. Took a slap from a dude that’s far bigger than him, more famous, and he handled it like a pro. All from his JOKE.

His publicist couldn’t have come up with another way to get him more attention. Amazing.

My point being that he thought it was funny. If she wasn't there it seems as though he would have kept laughing.

They put out a tweet that said the academy doesn't condone violence. Of course this will certainly help their ratings, but the backlash would be severe if it comes out they staged the act for ratings

What Chris Rock said was not cool.

What Will Smith did was WAY less cool. As well as him loudly dropping the F bomb twice following.

Chris Rock has every right to file assault charges against Will, but I applaud him for not going there...and I hope he does not file going forward.

Will had an opportunity to publicly give a personal apology to Chris, but blew it in his rambling speech for best actor.
