How do track fans not know this? The records are discussed constantly here and about 1/2 of the people get it wrong. Nearly 1/2 of college freshmen are already ineligible for U20 records in the spring. Tuohy hit an odd spot by getting in a high level race in December hitting the very last month possible for the record.
Several posts were deleted pertaining to Valby. The facts are that she is a 2020 grad and she has a faster 3000 than Tuohy. Some posters did not like that fact and they chose to post some unkind things.

there are also other 2020 grad that has faster times in 5k than tuohy right now so valby's "less than a second" faster time is such a funny thing to push on people and say that shes faster than tuohy all and all.. people still arent concerned about it because everyone knows what tuohy can do now w her new found kick and after recovering from that mini scare in december aka getting injured.. would love them to see race head to head but then again valby scratches in ber only race that she qualified to while katelyn goes for a 5k 3k double
