I'm triple vaccinated (Pfizer, Moderna, Moderna).
The first Moderna dose (my second overall) set me back a lot. A standard session where I never surpassed 150 HR was now pushing my heart up to 165. The average HR for the session was about 10% higher for the same speed profile. It took me about 2 months to get back to my old level.
The second Moderna dose (booster dose) wasn't as bad as the previous with regards to immediate symptoms of sickness, but it also set me back quite a lot HR-wise. All forms of running were more taxing. Where I had previously run my long runs with HR moving up to 147-48 at the end of 90 mins, I now reach that kind of HR after 20 minutes. Same treadmill. Same speed. Different weeks.
The vaccine hasn't had any effect at all on my strength training, but then again the heart and lungs are pretty much idle in those exercises. High load, low reps, many sets, long breaks.
I have to admit it's getting annoying, but I'm still convinced that losing form is better than many of the alternatives. Still, a 4th dose will take a lot of convincing.
