Artists who care about Freedom need to threaten to pull their work if Spotify Censors Joe Rogan

Rogan has antiwar voices on his show and supported Julian Assange while the legacy media spouts war propaganda 24-7.

The big misunderstanding is that platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and now even Spotify (moving into Podcasting) are effectively publishers. They want to claim they bear no responsibility for the content. Media outlets do bear responsibility and "censor" their journalists all the time (with some notable exceptions). Rogan himself and his guests who spout disinformation that is prolonging the pandemic and killing people. Spotify should bear the responsibility for that. If that means Neil Young and others pulling their music to try to force Spotifys hand, so be it. It is not censorship. It is more akin to most liberals not wanting to appear on Hannity or Carlson or Ingraham or Trump telling his followers to not watch CNN or read Washington Post (funny how it is only cancel culture when Liberals do it). So my advice is get over it, move on with your life, and learn a thing or two about science and what freedom of expression actually means.

You shouldn't be hosting content you fundamentally disagree with.. Throw it out! This whole thing is a mess of posturing, devoid of any conviction. Young switches his Blackstone'd catalog to Amazon, both companies are objectively worse than anything Rogan has ever said or done. Worse than Fear Factor. I've never listened to Rogan but he seems like a harmless idiot. Nothing wrong with that. I say, this "disinformation" is gonna come back and back the establishment on the ass. The NYT has been rife with disinfo since their founding. Information which is correct today is false tomorrow? Vice versa? We have to rely on news sources and experts bc the world has suddenly become so big and complex. And Spotify has no obligation here besides not totally fuccking this up and losing people's money.

No one is being censored in this situation. Wealthy financial entities are positioning themselves for best returns. It's laughable to think Spotify, Facebook, Twitter, Nike, etc are woke. The want the largest swath of the market are wearing a woke facade does just that. You think their workplace policies and practices have changed one iota? The dollar is master to all and your politics is just gossip for the ugly.
