With the exception of El Guerrouj in the final 1500m race of his career.
World championship gold = Olympic Gold. On a year to year basis it's the same field competing for a different medal. We have to stop acting like people are faster/superior for winning the Olympics. No world class track athlete ever thinks to themselves. Let me skip the world championships because I'm actually training for the Olympics lol
