I can see why she wanted to be coached by her hero, but Canova thinks you can only coach an athlete online once you have a lond relationship with them and can understand how they feel and react to different workouts. That year with Radcliffe could have been used more productively with a coach she could see day-to-day. Really, she's back where she was post-Chicago 2019 and this is like starting all over again. My fingers are crossed for her, I hope she is in a place to smash Boston 2022
Jordan's amazing work ethic, which she has had since a child, is the very thing that will destroy her.
Chris Solinski admitted, after he wrecked his body, that the was doing more workouts by himself than what Jerry wanted him to do. He said he did too much.
Jordan is just another Chris Solinski. She needs to take 3 months off and stop doing those ridiculous weight training sessions.
Another wrecked runner is Cam Levins who started his pro career doing 190 miles per week.
Look at the no name runners who finished ahead of Jordan Hasay and Scott Fauble at Boston.

Clearly whatever she is doing in marathon training is not only not working well, but is having a detrimental effect on her performance.

NOP ruined him because AlSal wasn’t actually coaching him, he was just brought in to be a training partner for Rupp and Mo.

I agree I believe she may be suffering from RED(S): relative energy deficiency syndrome. Low energy due to overtraining and a negative caloric balance.
I’ll admit I’m not a huge fan of Jordan. She defended her banned coach and did nothing to help or stand up for Mary. I think there is more to being a class act than just being mousy.
But regardless these horrible performances and being 30… she doesn’t deserve a spot on the line with the actual pros anymore

Sounds like this is what she's doing based on her Instagram post today. Wish her all the best and hope she eats a lot of calorie dense foods!!

I admire that Jordan finished the race even when it was obvious by 10k that she was not going to have a good day.
She finishes what she starts.
But, she would have been better off to drop out after a few miles, and save her body.
As for the claim that she did not jump aboard the trash Alberto train, I think he was an effective coach for her and she had no problems with his methods, which applied to both men, women, and himself in his running days.
2018 was 30 mph headwinds and hypothermia weather. Pro runners doing 7 pace at end. Even at a slow early pace Des dropped off pack.

Either she and Pete Julian are lying about her workouts, or she is having a serious mental block of some kind. Julian indicated that he thought she was in shape to run 2:25ish based on her fitness and workouts. The only way that your workouts indicate 2:25 but you run 2:41 is if you blow up mentally or you injure yourself in the race. I don't believe it's a physical issue, or else her workouts would also be suffering. She confirmed today on insta that she's healthy. It must be a mental issue. She also referenced "losing belief in herself" during the Boston race. She needs to take a break and work with a sports psychologist. Hopefully she can find a good one who will help her sort out her issues.
