Can confirm from one of her teammates through Instagram that she did not run barefoot with the footing there.
She only ran barefoot in one race last year at Appalachian State.

Looking at 4 Ladies teams which ran at Joe Piane and then Pre Nats vs 6 which ran at Joe Piane and then Nuttycombe it seems the Nuttycombe course was about 20 seconds slower than the Pre Nats course on Friday. Of course they are very different courses - 1 flatter and fast and 1 with more hills and a little more wet so different athletes are better at one or the other. More variability at Nuttycombe. So it looks like the top runners from the 2 races are pretty close (at least to me).
I think you are right. The top runners from both meets look comparable and the Nationals will be very good as a result. The course should be very good for a competitive Nationals. The talent level is so good this season and I am looking forward to a great meet.
