Sara Hall private pacers the entire way in Chicago

I'm sick of Sarah Hall. The camera spent more time on her while Bates was in 2nd than Emma got all race. She's just as much of a "science experiment" as Rupp.

Imagine if she had hired some private dancers.

I haven't been on this board much at all, and I came here to see what the reaction was to this very topic because it bugged me that Sara Hall had 3 private pacers. Obviously it was legal because they discussed it openly, and Ryan Hall even talked about the advantage it gave her on a windy day! So she can tuck behind THREE men and basically draft behind them? Running behind (drafting) 3 men is vastly different from running next to a single pacer. What would happen if an elite woman tucked in behind Sara? It seems unfair to me, and is clearly not even possible in an all-women race, or a race where the elite women start 20 minutes before the elite men.

I know one of her pacers. Lives in Princeton. He does it to brag on social media. Odd.

Hello, I am new on this site

As people mentioned before me, this was very obvious in Berlin as well for the German Elite Women and the obvious conclusion here is to have separate races for genders.

However, why are there pacers in general for any race? For men and women! Isn't part of the skill of running knowing how to pace, how to endure the mental effort of doing so without blindly following someone? Let people race. Why should we introduce any outside help at all here?

Honestly, this is what really bugged me with Kipchoge's breaking 2. Yes, it was partially about proving the point that running sub 2 is possible. But are you really proving that something is possible if you reduce the actual difficulty by taking out wind resistance? If that's the case, why don't we just reduce gravity by running on a low-gravity treadmill?

PS: i ran a 5k TT yesterday without pacers,... and I was pround as heck that I overcame the challenge and uncertainty of not knowing how fast I went and struggling through those tough phases myself. Would I have run faster with a bike-pacer (who brings along a different set up cloths, warm, up shoes, etc), sure! But this really reduces running to being a Running-Machine that just needs to execute the code.

Then to top it off ,the Hall’s used a personal driver to get to the airport .

Well she and Ryan have a few runners from their run free coaching team. I wonder if they got the pacers from that network of theirs. She wasn't making a world record and wasn't qualifying for anything, so it's legal and it's fine. I think it's cool for women to use male pacers and anything more is policing women's sport too much. regardless she still didn't win, and she still wans't the top american finisher, so it may be a race tactic she wasn't to evaluate how she can benefit from it. I know when she tried to make the record at the marathon project, he watch said she was on pace, but she wasn't that was due to a GPS error (as it was multiple laps it can sometimes make GPS going a little off), so I think to reduce the risk of falling off pace, or a GPS error again her team decided to invest in the pacers.

Damn, I'd also be pissed about that if I were you. I can understand general rabbits getting elite fluids but not personal pacers.

She's probably offended by the sub-elite men thinking they can run with Hall just because she paid them to do exactly that.

Just be glad nobody targeted Mike Sayenko for fùkking up Chepngetich's moment of glory and in turn ruining everyone else's day. 😢
