I had only read the 2nd part, sure she doesn't behave the best but you shouldn't assume she wouldn't care about her parent dying.
She owned up to her mistake atleast and has never said she wasn't wrong for what she did.

You’re a very messed up person, far worse than Sha’Carrie. You have some serious issues. Seek help.

Exactly the entire failing for weed made her more popular than anyone. Then the whole thing about smoking it cause her “real” mom died. This is one of the few cases where if she was white she wouldn’t have anywhere near the attention.
So what if she does win? It’s one race in oregon that no one but the hardcores care about. She’s have to run a WR to get any pub. I hope she doesn’t win tho just because her fans who don’t know $hit will say, “Well see she would of won the Olympics if she was allowed to run”. Meh pass.

She ran a 10.7 with a bad start and showboating the last 20-30 meters in prelims back in May. She can go 10.6 or faster with real competition. I'm actually more interested in her 200 vs Felix. I think we can see a 21.6 in that.
Shacarri might have a strong personality but it's been clear that it's good for the sport. If she loses, a lot of casuals will probably lose interest.
Agree with this. I could see her running close to that in the 200m but I’d be shocked if she runs both.
You do realize the weed situation only increased her popularity slightly right, she would have just as many followers had she won in Tokyo.

I'm not much of a Richardson fan, but if she runs a wind-legal WR tomorrow, she certainly would've been a gold medal threat in Tokyo. Claiming she should've won, hands down, is a pretty simplistic reaction, but wondering what might have been seems reasonable.

I personally think she's going to run VERY WELL. She's fit and motivated which are two ingredients for success. I'm a fan, but also am not afraid to call out a Sh^t Talker when I see one. If conditions are ideal she'll run a PB, whether that wins or not is up for debate.
We shall see soon won't we. Conditions are out of one's control, but we can certainly talk in terms of adjusted time or "basic." She may have the opportunity to run her fastest wind adjusted time ever. As many including you have suggested: fresher legs, motivated, on "home" soil. The Jamaican trio may come in with tired legs and with medals already to their names not as motivated. The situation may suggest she's ready to shine.
BUT, as loud, brash and unapologetic as she is ("it's gametime b^tches"), she's about to go into a showdown with 2 of the fastest women in the history of the sport and likely the two greatest sprinters in history (Flo Jo had a sensational year, but that was one year), and doing so while piling more pressure on herself. It would take the "second coming of Flo Jo) to step up here and come away victorious.
IMO, I believe the moment will be too big for her, and she will run tight and thus not as fast as she could have. And I see her struggling to make it into the top 4. (I think Ta Lou is going to be a fight for her).
Good post!
She is certainly "Doubling Down". Either she knows something we don't or she will be eating some serious crow.
She's too ghetto for me! Felix and Thomas have class!
Put your money where your mouth is and place a bet with a sports bookie, say, 1-year's salary.

Thomas? Class? You believe that even after she failed to show for 3 tests?

absolutely F this mentality. Sha'Carri has a big personality. Felix and Thomas have different personalities than she does, but you don' have to put her down.
But with that being said Elaine is going to wipe the floor with her this weekend.

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/sha-carri-richardson-switches-her-181322160.htmlSo, yeah. She talks a lot of trash for someone who hasn't achieved much outside the US. Her 10.72 with a 1.6 wind in Oregon is the only real fast time of note. Yet she behaves like she has been here for longer than a second.
The best chance for her to beat the Jamaican trio was to come in quiet, humble and let complacency set in then let it all go on the track. But she's talked so much trash that you know SAFP and ETH will be on.
Sha' Carri and all of her fans are about to get a wake up call.
Yes. This is what T&F needs to build a fan base. Boring sprinters who have no personality, no rivalries and say the same lame stuff to the media about respecting opponents and just wanting to go out there and do their best. T&F would probably have media deals akin to the NFL if it weren't for the Usain Bolt guy always messing around and doing silly post race celebrations.
The primary reason people watch the NFL more than track is they prefer watching the game of football itself over running races. Runners saying personal things won’t change that.

You don't understand class do you....3 may have missed those test but she did so with class. She is freaking classy lass.
She’s hot. This is what I take from this rabble rousing.
The one thing we know for sure...if she wins you won't be able to shut her up.
