They'd not be published. Shoe companies have athletes sign NDAs, promising to keep the terms quiet. As it's a contract, if the athlete violates the NDA, the shoe sponsor can void the contract—or sue for breach of contract. Nothing personal. Just business.

Such an ignorant statement. Times are worth nothing if they aren't an indication of who you are likely to beat in a race. And you know who you are likely to beat by looking at times, conditions, stakes, and pacing, among many other factors. Speed over the last lap or last 200 meters is significantly more important in championship racing than whether your best time trial is 2 seconds faster or slower than someone else's.

This is true but the college experience as a youth can't be regained. Last summer some folks on this board were critical of the Ben Crawford series of videos showing these kids basically create their own summer camp. They were having fun though. If he goes pro I don't think his contract will allow him to to take a dip jumping off of bridges or rocks with your pals. It's all business.
Maybe that's what he means by the pros will always be there in comparison to college.
