How was a 75-year old unarmed man a threat to a mob of 100+ fully armed policemen? This was ATTEMPTED MURDER. Exactly the same as Chauvin. Pushing back a 75-year old person and sending them with their back of the head (MMA guys aren't even allowed to punch that region) on concrete is as lethal as it can get.
= = =
Not sure if it's 2nd degree or 3rd degree in that state, but it is MURDER just like Floyd was. I'm starting more and more to think this isn't about race, but about police and their training in general. Happens in different states, absolutely no regard for the life of people. The people sworn to protect us are killing us.
The cops involved should be fired.
The police chief should be fired.
Whoever trained the cops should be fired.
Whoever ordered the curfew should be fired.
Whoever ordered the police to push back the public should be fired.
Whoever else was involved in what happened should be fired.
Whoever was involved in causing harm to the man should be criminally charged and convicted.
Just saw on CNN that the man is still in serious condition in the hospital. Disgusting that those evil fools not only pushed him that hard but then failed to provide immediate medical assistance while he convulsed and seized on the ground. Made me sick to my stomach to see their indifference.
I'm a long term supporter of police officers but I'm coming around to the idea that there is an ugly brutality accepted, and trained into, rank and file police officers that we cannot have in this country.
Demilitarization, policing as providing help to the community, training, firing, prosecuting and drumming out the warrior ethic, policing must become a very different thing in the US.
When you have pro-police Americans lime me screaming at the television while seeing another instance of policing gone badly wrong, policing is very much on the wrong track. What it means to be a police officer in the US MUST be very, very different in months and years ahead. I no longer support these men and women and the way they operate. Unacceptable.
Last, at LEAST ten of those horrible callous human beings that walked over that man as he laid there in seaizure should be fired, TODAY, and prosecuted.
People are holding police to an impossible standard. They are getting shot and stabbed in these riots. Thugs are throwing bricks and water bottles full of concrete at police.
And at the same time you expect them to read the exact threat level of each situation and come up with the perfect reaction. If they under-react, they can be killed or innocent civilians can be killed. If they respond even a fraction of a percentage too harshly it will be blown out of proportion or they can even be arrested.
It's not hard to avoid getting pushed our attacked by police...just stay home and don't break any laws.

I expect them to perform their job duties adequately. This incident is not an example of adequate performance. When cops fail to perform adequately, I expect them to be held accountable.
This is not an impossible standard. It's the standard of every employee in every professions.
Should have kept it moving. Antifa love to exploit women, children, and the elderly. He thought he has a pass, he thought wrong.

I would have agreed with you until recently but I'm done with the obvious warrior mentality and the brutality and militarization of our police. There is also a callousness on display with those Buffalo police officers that cannot be accepted, ever. As soon as that man hit his head, four or five of those cops should have immediately sprung into assistance mode and cared for him until EMTs arrived. They failed and should be fired and prosecuted for it. Policing in the US is in dire need of a complete rethink. If it doesn't happen there will continue to be a heavy price paid by us all. You cannot support the police as they currently operate if you are paying attention.

For a Bernie supporter, you sure seem to speak out against everything he stands for.
What do police and meteorologists have in common?
They're never held accountable for their mistakes.

Guys in this case have been fired and facing jail time. How are they not been accountable for their mistakes? How many occupations can you go to jail for making a mistake?
None are as blind as those who refuse to see.

Watch the video. An elderly white man standing nonviolently in front of some police was roughly shoved to the ground by police officers. Actually I don't have a problem with this one. The old man aggressivly approached the police. He didn't move back and was shoved back.
It's unfortunate that he fell and hurt himself, but is was at his own risk.
God help us.
He walked up to the cops and appeared to be asking a question.
For this he got shoved to the ground.
And you blame the victim.
We need to ship all you slaves to China where you would fit right in

There are 30 MILLION Google results for David Dorn. It's getting a lot of coverage. sorry to spoil your narrative.

First lie about it by saying he tripped and then having a hissy fit when action is taken against them.
