I think this is another reason trump likes being president...the ability to pardon people. To know that he is as powerful as the entire federal law enforcement system and that there is no check on that power. So when a rich guilty fraudulent dude pays for a pardon, trump can just snap his fingers and done.

Hilton has 28% of the vote and the other republican has 11% - that's 39%. All the others voted for Democrats and will vote for the Democrat in November. If they wanted to vote for Hilton, they would have. The last 3 elections, including the attempted recall of Newsom were won/defeated at roughly 60% of the vote going to the Democrat and 40% to the Republican. 60/40 is a landslide and all the people waking up today thinking that Hilton did something special of has a shot are delusional. 61/39% is not a win. Absolutely nothing new here.

The drop off and mail in ballots are mostly not counted yet. It is well known that maga doesn't trust this type of voting so they vote at polling locations. Those votes are counted first, hence Hilton in the early lead despite all polling showing him 3rd.
