I reject that. We have U3 and U6 numbers that apply, and nothing has been "tweaked".
You are WRONG. The requirements for considering whether people can be considered unemployed are different under Trump. It is much easier for them to drop people out of consideration.

This just shows how bad of a person you are and how stupid both in this short little post from you.
1) Integrity demands that we do the right thing EVEN IF our personal benefit might be damaged. Trump has committed several crimes here. YOU want to look the other way because the economy is good. Putting aside the argument that the President has very little to do with the global economy, you are saying a good economy is paramount. That is greed. That is sinful. That shows that you are a man of no character...a bad person.
2) A phone call? First of all, he committed a crime in that phone call. I don't get how you Trumpers think mentioning it was a phone call somehow makes it not a crime. Second of all, that phone call was just the final thing in a series of actions from Trump and his cronies beginning all the way back to the previous Ukranian President. We then have all the obstruction after the phone call.
You are an idiot. You are a bad person with no character.
This Ukraine/Biden/Trump issue has no impact on my life or my family's well being. Tell me why I should care?
you would be a good citizen of North Korea, East Germany or the USSR.

I am no legal scholar but when someone as respected as
Johnathon Turley, who IS a Democrat and fairly liberal, says that it was not an impeachable offense, then that gives me pause. The other 3 "legal scholars" are partisan hacks. They are radical leftists who would never defend the Constitution unless it means removing Trump as president. You really want to remove a duly elected president over a single phone call? Should not the bar be much higher?
1) You are no legal scholar? Really? Talk about stating the obvious.
2) There were 4 Constitution experts on that panel. 3 of them said unequivocally that Trump committed impeachable acts. One (Turley) said The House should go further and subpoena Bolton, et al. and let the courts decide if they have to appear or not. He wants more. As I want the full and complete story (we have enough already though to know that Trump committed impeachable acts) I would actually like to see that also. The problem is that Trump is so brazenly criminal that he's a dumpster fire that needs to be put out as soon as possible. My hope is that no matter what happens with the investigation and impeachment (he WILL be impeached despite what Rigged has said) that The House and law officials will continue to investigate Trump and all of those involved in this scheme. Devin Nunes needs to go to prison. Pompeo needs to have his political aspirations ended and may deserve prison. Barr needs to be investigated further since he was brought up by Trump in the crime call. Giuliani is already cooked. He's going to prison.
You need to ask questions only.

I reject that. We have U3 and U6 numbers that apply, and nothing has been "tweaked". EVERY administration is accused of this, and other than some necessary changes, this accusation is false. We have had mass exodus from the work force for a decade now due to the Baby Boomers. This is why I said well before Trump was even running that whoever won in 2016 would be the beneficiary of historically low unemployment. It had to go that way...so many stayed in longer than they would have due to the problems of late 2007-early 2009. We could have elected a rock as President, and we would have record unemployment now. I said the same thing about Obama when things just got progressively better under his watch...just had to do with coming back from the Great Recession.
Trump sucks. He's incompetent and an idiot and a criminal, and he has next to nothing to do with the global or even national economy. But, to take a narrow view, yes, he is presiding over one of the best economies in our nation's history. To not agree with that is to not see reality.
You are wrong that the historical metrics being reported have changed.

X = number of people considered employed
Y = number of people considered unemployed
Z = number of people considered as another employed or unemployed
Change how Y is determined to decrease the number. Those people go into Z. What happens? Y/X (unemployment rate) decreases.

Sally, what exactly is your defense of Trump? Are you saying that holding back aid approved by Congress to force a foreign govt to investigate your political rival is ok? Are you saying it was a “perfect” call and Trump did nothing wrong? Are you saying extorting a foreign govt is wrong but not impeachable? WHAT IS YOUR DEFENSE?

Turley DID NOT say it was not an impeachable offense.
Turley's main arguments were:
1. The process is going too fast so we are being too quick to judge.
2. The Democrats need to go through the courts to force testimony from administration officials and turnover of documents.
In other words, Turley is not excusing Tiny at all. Turley compared Tiny to the devil. Turley just thinks Democrats should not impeach without more facts.

He was the only well known scholar they could find to support their position. That doesn't tell you that academia is biased it just tells you that there is consensus on this issue.
Btw - he didn't really support their position. He was arguing against impeachment in general (contrary to the positions he took during the Clinton impeachment) while he never addressed the substance of the evidence expect to say that we haven't heard from enough people with direct knowledge. This last bit of course supports the Dems' point that the WH has not allowed more witnesses to come forward which is a clear and indisputable obstruction of the case.
The only thing that really helped the GOP was that he claimed to not have voted for Trump so all are supposed to assume he's not biased.
I think we need to drop the bias arguments.. there is no such thing as someone who doesn't have a certain sentiment toward trump. The only questions are about the facts, which are clearly not on trump's side.

Flagpole, why do all of your posts say such negative things and none of mine do. What kind of person with "good character" would repeatedly and with such gusto hurl repeated insults on here at someone who is trying to engage in honest discourse? All of your posts have numerous insults. None of mine do. Do you think that MAYBE you ought to look inside your soul and decide that having a little bit of kindness might make others around you like you a bit more? You come on here and spew the most terrible insults willy nilly. What had caused you to behave in such a manner? Do you behave like this in real life?

3 of those "legal scholars" are radical leftists. What else are they going to say? They have never before supported the Constitution. One even brought the youngster Barron into the discussion. How sick is that? She and her other radical cronies thought that what she said was funny. Again, those 3 ARE RADICAL LEFTISTS. That one lady makes Hlllary look like a moderate. Turley was the only one who was measured and non-partisan.
If you support the Constitution then you support impeachment. End of story.
