Looks like the issue was Petramale. I'm guessing there was an error with the timing system and it misread someone's chip. I doubt SLU cheated in this manner (especially with the knowledge chip timing would be used), but it does raise questions about the accuracy of chip timing in cross country.

Each school is allowed to enter 10 runners and every runner receives a bib # and chip. My guess is that since he shows up in the 4K but not the 2K or 6K, that perhaps this Petramale guy was running around cheering with his bib # in his pocket and got too close to the timing mat when the runners went by at 4K.

If SLU really "ran 8 guys" as some on this board have suggested, then the extra guy would have shown up at the 2K as well.

Oneonta's pizza performance was the best overall. They ate ,on average, a pizza and a half per person. Unfortunately, they were DQ'd because they got some bad information and thought it was a PRE-race pizza party.
