Go look at his splits. Neither lap was under 54. He has to run an even split because he's a grinder. No elite 800 guy ever runs even.

Tinman wasn’t in to the swearing on TME social media accounts. That just wasn’t the kind of image he wanted to project and he let know them know since they were (and still are) using his name n’stuff.
You misunderstood the question. How does their occasional swearing tarnish his online coaching business? I don’t buy the argument that someone associates Jordan Guzman swearing in an IG story to Tom Schwartz. It shows how out of his element Tom was to think otherwise.
You are wrong. The persona his athletes, athletes posting under HIS name, project reflects on him and obviously not in a way he appreciated. ‘Twas a simple request by Tinman, since he was allowing them to market under his name.
Drew Hunter! Put Drew Hunter in a open 400 against High School kids and he would get his ass kicked. That is why he'll never make it as a pro. He isn't fast!

Drew got the trademark, and overall has been more professional in all of this, at least in the public sphere.
Maybe they had some discussion on the language of the videos, but that was TME's show, not Tom's so other than urging them to stop and explaining why, it was not his call. And trolling their IG feed? That does not sound very professional.
Drew getting the trademark just proves what a snake the little fck’r is. TME videos of course reflect on Tinman.....their using his name for God’s sake!

You are wrong. No one associates TME swearing with Tom Schwartz' online coaching. He does not own the brand of the team and was not "allowing" them to do anything. Asking them to stop swearing, if true, shows how lost he was with understanding his role.
A lot of people thought Drew needed a new coach, look at any thread talking about him. By the time someone becomes a professional runner they are usually onto at least their third coach, if not more. Drew clearly needed a change. However, there is one camp here who has put in a concerted effort to make a coach change story ugly - it's been pathetic to watch. It's been more evidence that Drew really needed to change coaches and distance himself from them as far as possible.
I agree the team name needs to change ASAP - not because they "borrowed" it from Tom (who did borrow it and has never given it back), but because they need to stop marketing for the $200 man for free. The team name really doesn't matter, call it anything, Boulder Elite, whatever, just stop shilling for the $200 man and leave the ugliness far behind you.

Asking (requesting) them to stop is one thing, and perfectly acceptable. Telling them to do so or attempting to, well that's stepping out of his lane, and could cause a rift. Trolling the TME social media sites, that's unprofessional and certainly could be cause for separation. Story would be different if TME were Tom's brand, not Drew's. But that's not the case.
why is everyone using “they only have 1-2 Olympic hopefuls” as a huge diss to TME? Most clubs outside of BTC, have 0-1 Olympic hopefuls on their men’s side. Hanson’s, NAZ Elite...there’s a ton of squads with no real shot of sending anyone to the olympics
It is time for a clean break. I think the new branding is going to sell a ton of merch.

Because they “shout” about how they are trying to go to the olympics. People bring it up because they do too.
Can Tammy (and others in the know) tell us what really went down to cause the disbanding of the Tinman Track Club?
Seems crazy to lose not one but BOTH groups in a matter of months.

I don't know of any professional runner who doesn't have the goal of trying to go to the Olympics. This is not unique to TME.

I yell this all the time about anyone running less than a marathon. It's my number one belief about running.
I think you CAN gain 400m speed, but you have to put in the time with 1. Speed (30 m flies) and 2. Speed endurance (150m-300m repeats) every week.
Very annoying to fit into a 70mpw schedule. But very necessary for anyone who doesn't already have the prerequisite speed.

It's Tinman's fault Drew lacks speed.

You are in denial or maybe have a head injury of some kind. Tom Schwartz IS Tinman. That has been his nickname in the running community for decades. The persona the athletes project on a social media account bearing Tinman’s name absolutely has an effect on his business.

We’ll see who’s brand TME is....LOL. I’m predicting the club changes their name quickly in fear of the legal action that will be quick to follow (and likely be retroactive) if not.

Why the ad hominem attack? Since you haven’t provided any support, why are you so certain people associate TME’s social media actions with Tom’s online coaching?

It wasn’t meant as an attack as much speculation as to why you can’t see what is in plain view. Go back and reread my prior post since the point still seems beyond your comprehension and that summed it up pretty well.

"Here is the full letter sent to Coach Schwartz from the Boulder TTC:
Dear Coach,
A lot of us were drawn to you and the idea of Tinman Track Club because we are working professionals who have unfinished stories, and we sought out a coach who had not only the knowledge to provide elite level training, but also individualized training plans in order for each of us to reach our maximum potential.
Over the last several months, without a conversation or a reduction in price, we were moved to a team training plan on Final Surge, and then ultimately had to ask you each day for the workout when our Final Surge was empty. In addition, when we reached out for the workouts the night before, you often made it seem as if it were an inconvenience and that you were too busy to provide this information to us. This resulted in two issues: first, it is difficult to mentally and physically prepare for workouts when we don’t know what we will be doing until we arrive to practice, and secondly, many team members simply stopped asking for workouts or felt as though they were walking on eggshells when they reached out.
Multiple times, we have communicated that it is challenging for the majority of the team to make it to Broomfield for workouts, when our jobs require us to be on the clock at 9 am (or prior). Due to this, for most of the fall, a lot of us missed out on being coached in person by you because we simply could not make it to Broomfield, and you were unwilling to come to Boulder. When the majority of our team, and Tinman Elite, live between Boulder and Longmont, a 30-40 minute commute one way is simply inconvenient and expensive. Furthermore, numerous people joined Tinman Track Club with the expectation to be training with a team in Boulder.
Ultimately, we feel as though we were not a priority to you; we were always falling behind Tinman Elite, your dissertation, and various other high school, junior high, and remote athletes. This is highlighted by confrontations with multiple team members when they asked for bare minimum coaching, you failing to show up to or ask about races that team members competed in throughout the fall, and forcing us to participate in your dissertation, even when it wasn’t to our benefit and quite possibly to the detriment of several team members.
This decision does not come lightly, but we are each making the decision based on our own personal best interest. We wish you the best of luck in your future coaching endeavors.
Sincerely,
Boulder TTC"
