Don't think I've seen any mention of Truett Hanes in here - dude didnt even toe the line at NYC, DNS. Coming from the guy who has constantly said he's built different and doesnt need rest etc.
I do think what he has been doing is impressive (clean or not idk?) - it seems like its finally caught up to him, he seems a little bit humbled by it though which is encouraging to see. Wanted to see what he ran on a legit course so he could "silence the haters" ?
Fun idea: start everyone who got a special free influencer bib behind the field. Nobody gets domed by a selfie stick, they get their goofy on-course footage from their legions of adoring fans in the latter half, and they’ll probably catch up enough to the BOP to walk-jog it in together after inevitably blowing up. Anyone who wants to treat it like an actual race can buy an entry and start based on ability like everyone else.

I believe the 190 average for a half. My last race was a 25k and I ran it in 2:01 with an average heart rate of 187 and I am in my 40's. My lactic threshold is around 184. I have always had a very high heart rate and how fit and fast I am has no bearing on how high it goes. It is what it is and all that changes is how fast I am running at said heart rate as I get faster.
I think it goes further than just Battersea park. Running wise I'd say King of the UK. Or at the very least a prince and considering there's a 'prince' title spare now, I'd say Prince Nick just sounds right!

SJD actually put out an FKT video a couple of days ago -- after not releasing any videos for a while including no videos about his second place at the Pikes Peak Ascent.
I like the whole angle of "let's pretend that I haven't been MIA for two months" and a video that begins with, you guessed it, making coffee and breakfast in the dark by headlamp.
You've got a huge house and the bedrooms are a distance from the kitchen. Just turn on a light! There's probably a small one above your stove on the range hood that won't wake the fam or cause instant daybreak for the neighborhood.

The same workout he does every block. The same workout he does when he fails to hit his marathon target again.
Bester is very rare in that his marathon time is actually better than his 5k/10k/HM. He is lacking speed not endurance.
He keeps repeating the same training block over and over, with the same workouts and paces and for some reason wonders why he doesn't progress? Maybe lower mileage with more true speed work are needed?

At least he did the reps slower than goal marathon pace today. Maybe he is listening to coach. Still a brutal session though! I did 2x10k last block and that was bad enough, much prefer continuous marathon pace runs
