Agree, socialism should only be for trump & his cronies, who shouldn’t have to pay taxes and should get taxpayer funds to go to Vienna and investigate anyone trying to campaign for his job. Also, he should get a raise.

I wouldn't knock Community College. A lot of students need to go to "13th Grade" in order to shore up the skills they should have learned in High School. And it is inexpensive. You get a lot of bang for the buck.
We do need to tackle the problem of how higher education is financed. A "free college" bill might do just that. The devil is always in the details. But we know for sure that the status quo should not continue.
So if you are against Warren and Sanders in regard to "free college" then you still have to answer the question of how you would solve the student debt crisis. Even if you don't like their solution, at least Warren and Sanders are being honest about the problem. The other candidates are not. The other candidates lie by omission.
the 'student debt crisis' is overblown.
It's mostly graduate school debt, and those people will make good money.
And monthly payments for student debt are about the same as ever, because interest rates are so low.
meanwhile, college educated people are making tons of money.

I like Buttigieg a lot also, but he is unsurprisingly not polling well with African Americans (solely because he is gay).
FYI - that's not the reason
Any lie will do for the gullible and willing. Friendship and loyalty mean nothing to the “man”

Giuliani could retort that trump has other crooked lawyers. Like Barr.

Do you have any shame in telling outright lies?
You are the same person who argues that income inequality is not increasing, against all the evidence, so I guess not.

That's not the sole reason, but it's a major one. Talk to ten or twelve AAs.

Your failure is your failure to not make "tons" of money. It seems you are jealous of those work hard, succeed, and make "tons" of money. Blame your yourself for not being will to work hard. You just weren't cut out to make "tons" of money, snowflake.
More traditionally, African-Americans wouldn’t trust a newbie with lots of promises like Buttigieg. Or someone who can’t deal with the racism in his own backyard. Or someone who isn’t very comfortable with the entire subject. Buttigieg has these issues & more.

Community Colleges are a great option for a lot of people. My point is that we HAVE that option. Here in Central Ohio, Columbus State Community College is the big community college, and it has a graduation rate of just 21% and a transfer out to 4-year college of 19% (according to US News). Community Colleges already admit anyone with a pulse, and nearly 80% of them don't leave with a degree. If we make it FREE, there will be even more who have no business attempting a college education.
We can't legislate ALL bad behavior. If you don't have the grades to get into an elite college that will provide AMAZING financial aid if you make less than $125,000 a year, or you aren't a scholarship athlete or scholarship student to an expensive school, and you are not so wealthy that you can just pay for it, then you need to go to a less expensive school. Perhaps start with Community College and transfer. Perhaps go to a state school and live at home. Take 5-6 years and work. There are ways to not graduate with insane debt. I did it. My wife did it including graduate degrees from Stanford and University of Michigan. We sent our daughter to an elite college, and she graduated with less than $15,000 in loans that we are even going to help her pay. It simply is not necessary to graduate with a ton of debt.
Columbus State Community College is $3808 per year. Live at home. 2-year degree for $7616. You can then go to any of the numerous satellite state colleges (Miami University Hamilton) and pay about $5,000 per year for 2 more years, so a 4-year degree for $17,616. Scholarship, work-study, part-time job, can halve that easily.
Just because some middle class kid wants to go to an expensive liberal arts college that will give them $100,000+ debt when they graduate, that doesn't mean they should.
Are there HS graduates whose parents won't pay a dime for them and want them out of the house right away? Yep. They will need to work and go to school part-time for a while if they want a degree.
I would rather that there be free trade schools and paid apprenticeships for those who don't want to or can not go to college. Too many go to college, and we don't need to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

What do you believe the reason is then?

Yeah, ok, those are good points. Him being gay though is a big problem for him with African Americans. This will still be a big issue for him even if he is more experienced down the line and does better with all those things.

The student debt crisis is not overblown. It's a major problem that every candidate should address head on.
Of course, all of this pales in comparison to the climate crisis. No candidate is telling the whole truth.
Just yesterday, the UN released its Emissions Gap Report for 2019. The introduction says:
The UNEP Emissions Gap Report 2019 finds that even if all unconditional Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement are implemented, we are still on course for a 3.2°C temperature rise.
Our collective failure to act strongly and early means that we must now implement deep and urgent cuts. This report tells us that to get in line with the Paris Agreement, emissions must drop 7.6 per cent per year from 2020 to 2030 for the 1.5°C goal and 2.7 per cent per year for the 2°C goal. The size of these annual cuts may seem shocking, particularly for 1.5°C. They may also seem impossible, at least for next year. But we have to try.
A 3.2°C temperature rise would threaten all human life. But that's where we are headed.
All the candidates are lying about the climate crisis.

The public has been misled about the severity of a host of brewing issues, including climate crisis, healthcare, student debt, global trade, the growing wealth gap, etc.. it is all much worse than most people think. They prefer to hear someone like our knucklehead potus just say it's all a hoax and he's making it great. He's kicking the can bigly and has only exacerbated the problems. All just to get a minor short term economic boost and make it look like it's all great. Who wants to hear the truth? Very few want to know how bad it all is and that it's partly their fault.

So the hold is put on the funds the day trump had that call with Z and it was released right after he was briefed about the whistleblower report.
Zero defense
Agree, the only reason to release the Ukrainian aid then is to cover up the crime. It was illegal to hold up the whistleblower complaint, but ironically that just encouraged trump to tell more lies.
