Tony is annoyed that black kids are graduating high school and going to college, believing it is a sign that we've lowered standards. As "evidence" he cites the proficiency rates from NAEP.

This video takes place in Louisiana. Only 21% of Louisiana 8th graders are proficient in math. Only 27% of Louisiana 8th graders are proficient in reading. Louisiana's governor (Jeff Landry) is a Republican. Both US Senators from Louisiana are Republicans and the majority of Louisiana's House reps are Republican. The Louisiana state senate has 28 Republicans and 11 Democrats. The Louisiana House has 73 Republicans and 32 Democrats.

According to US News, Louisiana ranks dead f*cking last in education the United States. The "best" college in the state is Tulane, which is well outside the top 500 in the world.

So, Tony, what is this MAGA infested sh*thole so bad at education? I'm going to hazard a guess it has something to do with the completely incompetent leadership in the state (and by incompetent I mean Republican).

Hmm. Per the stats above, 70+% of 8th graders in the state are "dumb kids."

A state's 8th graders' intelligence levels generally agree very closely with the intelligence levels of its entire population. So if dumbs are Dems, that would seem to suggest that a very large majority of the state's people are a) dumb and b) Demos.

So how are GOPers such a high percentage of the ruling class in the state?
