Here's a trail marathon up a mountain and back down, and a blog entry from someone who encountered him. The odd thing here, looking at the splits they are running essentially the same pace at the point of encounter, but the blogger's comments seem out of line with it:
"It was pretty obvious when we hit Skew Gill. A sheer slab of rock rose up in front. Quite a bit of scrambling ensued and near the top I came across marathon man, Rob Young. Donned out in his kilt and high orange socks. Should we have been in Scotland for he really looked the Braveheart! I met Rob on the bus journey from Penrith to Keswick and learned all about his challenge to run a year’s worth of marathons in… a year! This was his 67th consecutive marathon and his first mountain event. Despite some encouragement he didn’t seem too keen to run at my pace so I said farewells and jogged on up the gradual incline."
