Good point.

there is still no direct line to trump...in fact trump told sondland there is no quid pro quo.
and apparently volker testified the opposite - that he saw no quid pro quo from the WH.
this is damning to rudy and pompeo...it still doesn't get over the last meter to the West Wing.
This is stupid, even for you agip.
Sure, as though Trump saying there is no quid pro quo was a defense.
This is the mobster stating, "I'm not threatening anybody just saying it sure would be a shame if something terrible happened to your country"

One more thing, Flagpole. You can spout off all you want pretending to be a smart person. The problem is that you are not. You are very unsophisticated. YOu probably stroll into the Cleveland Piggly Wiggly with you chest pushed out reprimanding the check-out ladies there. Pretending you are someone special. Well you can do that at the Cleveland Piggly Wiggly. You can't do that in the real world. The really smart people, myself included, understand that your pompousness does not translate to respect. Your usage of words like "cowtow" just doesn't scream out "genius" to anyone. I hate the word "dunce" but it applies in your case. Please do not misuse "ignorant" again. Thanks!
I am not sure. I am from the south as well and haven't been inside a Piggly Wiggly in maybe 30 years if not longer.

remember trump is a crackpot conspiracy theorist - he believes them all.
he legit thinks that it was ukraine not russia that messed with the elections, that there is a DNC server buried in Ukraine, etc.
So 'do the right thing' in this sense means 'go get the server and prove my pal Putin didn't get me elected.'
and he assumes every single person on the planet is as corrupt as he is...so he assumes the bidens are crooks too who should be harassed.
this is stupid even for agip wrote:

Look, we all know that trump is behind this. but to break out of the D vs R thing it's got to be obvious and undeniable. For example, Nixon was fine with the Rs until the tapes came out that showed he tried to obstruct justice.
Trump's fine until something ties him directly to this. It's not quite there. It's a lot of one degree of separation.
Mulvaney probably made that link but it wasn't under oath.
I'm jsut being practical here.

Pretty clear the Bidens are good crooks. I mean at what they do, using political position for personal aggrandizement. Of course you and Flagpole think that is perfectly OK, while at the same time you drone on about the emolument clause.

Hold on, OMG I thought this was just an internet meme... Trump actually wrote those notes for his meeting with the reporters... this guy's brain must be failing, what, he couldn't remember these scribbled words???

Pssst.......get his tax returns
The end result is not as important as the process needing to be done. He WILL be impeached, and rightfully so. So far the Republicans have shown they are willing to look the other way, and it is entirely possible that will continue through to the Senate. Right is right though, and he needs to have the scarlet letter of Impeachment.

I have no idea how anybody who is a Trump supporter could make this argument with a straight face.

Flagpole,
You already back from the Piggly Wiggly?

No, that's trump telling Sondland that he wants Sondland and others to get Z to do the "right thing" which is code for announce Biden will be investigated.

I can't speak for Igy, but many trump supporters rationalize their approval of Trump by saying to themselves 'they're all corrupt. All of them.'
That way you can give your man a pass.
I heard that a lot in 2016.
And one of trump's main strategies is to make more people think that - to think everything and everyone is corrupt. So his criming is cancelled out.
Of course it's hooey, but politics are ugly.

I looked it up, just for shits and giggles. The most northern Piggly Wiggly in Ohio is in The Plains, which is relatively close, but still south of Columbus and quite a bit south of Cleveland.

the only way trump goes down is if he testifies... there isn't enough time for polls to reflect results that would motivate GOP senators to flip. This impeachment was always about Congress doing their jobs and politically it will hurt him next year.
Rather it seems that this "impeachment" is all about smearing Trump to hurt his chances at re-election. To have it as one-sided as it is - just a shame. Schiff is a two-bit scoundrel masquerading as the head of the intel committee. What he has done is make a farce of this impeachment "inquiry." The Democrats have embarrassed themselves and continue to embarrass themselves. Just a debacle for the Democrat party. Not surprising because this is the party that after all supports infanticide. Do not suggest otherwise.

Nice research. If Flagpole is not reprimanding the women at the Cleveland Piggly Wiggly, who is he reprimanding? Food Town? I don't know any other small town grocery stores.
Your research deserved better than that. YOu did a STELLAR JOB!
No, it is you saying my side are not unethical or crooked, just the other side. I won’t say you or Flagpole are racists or stupid. You both are just so partisan you can’t see beyond your nose. Hopefully you know how to use a hammer. It is a lost art; layman’s use of tools that is.
?
Schiff closed that with a big bang... huge applause
Still seems to be progressing just like Nixon. Then, the courts dealt the final blow by forcing him to hand over evidence, which is all we’re waiting for here. The witnesses are only here to say the evidence exists; their testimony won’t usually be enough by itself.
Crooked presidents will always say that there’s no evidence to hand over.

Jesse - Are you not seeing the writing on the wall? This impeachment inquiry is finished. We are just going through the steps now. Trump will not get convicted and removed. The Dems in the House - it is a show trial. Just to let their constituents that they did this. It was a crock. Just a crock. Time to get back for Donald to run the country.
