Israel has consistently got more financial support for decades. I imagine Afghanistan is so high currently because of the war and direct American involvement. I think Israel gets a disproportionately high amount of US tax payers money. Why? Could well be the Christian fundamentalist support for the state of Israel like you mentioned. Yet anti Christian rhetoric isn’t the charge you’re leveling at me. If it helps I the Saudis are Trumps masters too, Russia also.

The US is one of the few countries where the civilian head of state is also the highest ranking military commander.

You are correct. I am not to familiar with the US Constitution. I am much more knowledgeable with the Constitution of the Russian Federation. You got me there!

Thank you to the three or four posters who have spoke up. I like agip but think he missed the mark by miles here and is stubbornly refusing to admit it. It was a horrible accusation. I do appreciate the sentiments expressed by others.

Sally, if what the president did was ok, then why haven't we heard ANY of the Rs defend him by saying he did nothing wrong? I would think they would offer rationale for why the call was actually ok.
