doesn't make sense. All GPS receivers will know about time zones and when the two segments are displayed side by side in the TomTom website, even if two watches logged in different time zones they should be listed in the display time zone. My two cents.

The 8mi track that doesn't line up with the map at all and overlaps the 35mi track... based on the times of the other tracks around it, it was clearly done on the secondary watch. But subtracting 5 hours from it would push it back to the prior evening at a time he wasn't even running.

The 8mi track thumbnail-wise doesn't match to the road he ran through Emporia at all. Without the details there's not much way to tell what time frame that one is really supposed to represent.

well, not sure there. bottom line is the timestamps are sometimes innacurate. I found it because two tomtom segmets overlapped a lot time wise. I matched up where they should have gone by looking at the thumbnail and it ended up falling nicely in with the RV tracker which confirmed it.

The run forecast schedule on his marathon manual web page still shows Rob crossing into New Jersey some time tomorrow. Would any of you LR folks like to join up to welcome him? He only needs two days and then he will be in NY. BTW all 3 charities are still accepting credit card donations so don't miss out. We don't want any children to be gutted.

I've just done some digging around and my memory is playing tricks - the Sweden race was definitely 2004. The Ibiza race was 2007, I could have sworn it was the same year but I raced a lot back then and was confusing Nice Long Distance 2004 with Ibiza 2007.

I found the online results for 2007 at Athlinks but he is not listed and doesn't show up in a search, however I know of someone else who was dq'd from the same race and their name does not come up in the search either.

You could contact the race timer/scorer. I started working triathlons in 2002 and still have all of my records/data back that far. If it was my race, it would take a minute to find a DQ and reason. A little longer to find the official's report.

Yeah but I don't think the race exists anymore... So rather difficult to know who to contact.

Seems my first recollection was right. I raced in 2007 but was there watching in 2004 having withdrawn due to an injury. He is not listed as a DQ in those results but check the lack of run or bike splits. He just turned up at the finish out of nowhere.

Do you have info on who put this race on? I'd like to contact the race director for further info.

If it helps, I've just been through every single listed triathlon, duathlon and biathlon listed for 2003, 2004 and 2005 on www.ukresults.net, and found no Rob Young in any results. I'll carry on through 2006 and 2007, but if anyone can point me at other sites to check I'll go through them too?

Several people lack run and bike splits though... And no DQ.

His swim split is a quite a bit slower than the people who finished in about the same time.

Quit splitting hairs! In a triathlon it is universally accepted to just pick one of the three disciplines if you like. Three events are too much hassle and tiresome. You nitpickers need to lighten up.
