It's pretty simple actually: sirpoc and his fanbois claimed to have hacked running for hobbyjogger just because of his fluke marathon at London where everyone was struggling with the brutal conditions while sirpoc seems to have little issues with heat, possibly due to his small frame. Now that sirpoc has been exposed people are more than happy to invest into hard working guys like Bester who put in the work all day every day. The sirpoc crowd isn't made for working hard so they lash out.
I actually like the concept of the singles method but man that group on Reddit/strava: success story: “got my 5k from 23 minutes to 22.5”. Countless “I run 10k a week should I do NSA”
Flowy, you aren’t nor were you ever in 2:28 shape. Dude tries to blame the blow up on running two miles 3 and 6 seconds faster than goal pace after running the first half slow. You’re not that guy pal.
Even me, his most loyal hate watch fan, won't sit through an hour of broberg broberging. Holy feck who watches that?
Tens of thousands of fanboys and girls will.
All with mullets, mustaches and aiming for 2:30 even though they haven't broken 90 for the half.
Comments like "You touched me" and "so proud of you, bro" are embarrassing. He's found a market I guess. People who don't ask too many questions or understand running but will buy the latest BPN product because that's the real reason he can handle this amazing mileage.

The comments sections of his videos are absolutely unhinged. I feel like I'm in an alternate reality reading them. The ones that get me the most, and I see this on a lot of runfluencers videos, are the ones espousing his "amazing storytelling" or "incredible filmmaking". To think these people go through life thinking Floberg's YouTube videos are the pinnacle of creative enlightenment. Well, Floberg's videos and the Marvel films.
I enjoy the frequent posts about easy pace, particularly a recent one where someone is incapable of running that slowly as their form breaks down. Plenty of advice provided (now and in the past) but unwilling to consider walking/run to combat their poor aerobic base.
It's a very good framework but at the end of the day individuals need to take ownership of their training. Experiment. Running is an art not a science which I think is sometimes lost.
Can anyone tell me the name of the new Nick Bester fragrance? My wife wants a bottle of it for Thanksgiving but i can't seem to find it for sale on Amazon.

Eau de Batterea Toilette
LOL
our King Nick Bester has now ventured in to TikTok dancing videos on his latest instagram post. Is there anything this great man can’t do?
Seriously, I don’t think life would be worth living without the content he freely shares with us.
Kornfluzi has praised his storytelling before. They both have the same audience, everyone just sucking up to them. They need to be inspired.
I haven’t seen enough to assess his storytelling overall.
But I just glanced at the early part from his first video where he goes beyond poetic license to talk about going from 3:59 to 2:48.
Did he actually run those times? Sure. But he substantially undertrained for his first marathon, and he was still probably fit to run no worse than 3:20 or 3:25 but started too fast and had a bad day (and still had an actual starting point of 3:50). And for the second one, he really undertrained and spent a ton of time on the couch. So basically if he had even a semi reasonable training and race experience, we’d be talking about a guy who went from 3:10 to 2:48. I guess that’s not what people consider inspiring, though, so you gotta bring out the smoke and mirrors.
I’m reminded of old magazine supplement ads with a “before” pic featuring a decent amateur bodybuilder who put on 15 pounds for the photo shoot and sticks their stomach out really far for the photo then trains for the “after” photo and actually holds a real flexing pose. Wow! That stuff must work!
I put little stock in anybody who is disingenuous with their details like that just for eyeballs.
If someone else is inspired by that, that’s their choice and I’m happy if it works out for them.

So...he was a normal guy with a job and family and still trained for and ran marathons?
That's exactly what made him relatable and likable, before totally selling out and going all in on sniffing his own farts.

Completely agree. Floberg filmmaking is alright but it’s not groundbreaking. Hardly world cinema.
Nick Bester on the other hand though…
His videography is nothing short of cinematic perfection. His ability to capture raw emotion with the precision of a master craftsman is unparalleled. Each frame is a work of art, drenched in beauty and profound depth, reflecting his extraordinary talent and impeccable vision. His eye for detail is so acute, it’s as if he can see into the soul of his subjects, bringing out their most captivating essence. Every project Nick touches transforms into a timeless masterpiece, a true testament to his unparalleled brilliance in the world of videography. Simply put, Nick Bester is a visionary, a genius, nothing short of a living legend in the craft.
I am sure this has been discussed before but can someone explain to me how Believe In The Run is able to exist and financially support at least 5 people?
In the last 4 weeks they have 26 youtube videos and the most viewed is only 13k plays. None of the podcasts have 50k plays on spotify thus we cannot see the plays on them. So if they aren't get podcast or youtube plays how are they able to convince sponsors to pay them to do stuff?

I almost think you somewhat downplay Bester's impact - he flies in the face of adversity, like a golden eagle in the holy garments of Best Athletics, in pursuit of excellence and a better tomorrow.
