If that’s the case, why all this chicanery with redistricting? If the government, which is controlled by the GOP in all three branches, is doing such a good job improving the lives of most American voters, then there should be no need to try to redistrict and gerrymander any districts.
Or, wait for this, maybe the reason that Democrats lost in 2024 is because Biden was associated with the surge in inflation that followed the global pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, couple with the fact that he was clearly unable to keep up with the demands of the job and Democrats switched their candidate three months out from the election and Harris failed to distinguish or distance herself from the economic woes that Biden was associated with. When people think the people in charge are hurting their wallets, they’re going to vote them out of office.

When I was in outside sales for a big fortune 500 company, management used to press hard for our sales projections. Obviously because they had to give projections themselves. So we would have these quarterly meetings where all salespeople would talk about their sales pipelines and what they expected to close in the coming weeks and quarter. Closing business meant signing contracts. You could always tell the salespeople that would be shortly canned because of their presentations. When pressed by management when they expected to sign contracts they would always say "Well I have a verbal agreement". Over and over. Of course, management knew it was BS.
Trump is that inept and lazy salesperson that always has plenty of Verbal agreementsthat he wants people to believe will turn into real deals.
