Trumpettes (& fat boy himself) are starting to need “days off.” Seeing the doc on a Saturday, while a staffer is describing his meltdown with Sondland & his candidate is getting smacked in a former deep-red state.
Lot of pressure...

They will be back. Stupid gonna stupid.
Yes, I think we need to update Hitler’s Wikipedia entry to update his status as “a frequent contributor to Fox News.”
Allan Lichtman predicts Trump impeachment.
https://www.newsweek.com/professor-predicted-last-9-elections-trump-impeachment-inevitable-1472310
It keeps going.
Tuesday:
Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman - He was The Call
Jennifer Williams - She listened in on The Call
Wednesday:
Gordon Sondland - Has changed his story. He was given direct orders from Trump to get Ukraine to investigate Bidens
Thursday:
Fiona Hill - formerly the top Russia specialist on the National Security Council, testified last month that she registered concerns about the parallel foreign policy channel that Giuliani was using to impact policy in Ukraine.
And others, as well.
Last week was testimony by people on the fringes.
This week there will be testimony by people more directly involved in the bribery.
(Trump may need another phase of his annual check up again after this week)

Gee. He's really going out on a limb with that one, isn't he?
It's hard to imagine that any Democrat will vote against impeachment. Therefore, it will pass.
They made the wrong headline about that article, when you read it.
His main point wasn't that impeachment was inevitable, but that the way the impeachment is proceeding, it will hurt Trump in the 2020 election.
As the Mueller investigation was proceeding, many people on both sides were saying that an impeachment by Democrats after gaining the House majority will hurt Democrats in 2020. It will look purely partisan and spiteful.
This guy is saying it will help the Democrats.
And I agree.
Yes, the votes will still be partisan. But the facts and the hearings are pretty damaging. And the Republicans defense is mostly on procedure ore hearsay or what he did was bad but not bad enough.
We will have to see how McConnell runs the Senate Trial. He has a lot of control of the optics and how it sells to their base.
How about a caption contest for this pic.
Republicans and their counsel exacerbated on how to defend Trump.
Nunes: "I'll say that he didn't do it.
Jordan: "Then I'll say there was nothing wrong with it"
Republican counsel: thinking bubbles "(what the hell did I get myself into)"
Oh, yeah, I’ll take that action!
Nunes: “Confucius said, Dairy farmer who impeach cow, get no milk.”
Jordan’s thinking, “I haven’t bent this far forward since the showers after wrestling practice.”
‘Pub counsel thinks: This is involuntary servitude, losers! I know my rights...

What Lichtman wrote there goes with his model of electing US Presidents, and that is that SCANDAL is a strike against not only just the sitting President, but the sitting President's party as well.
Also, to be fair, Lichtman said very early on after Trump was elected that he would be impeached. He was one of the very first to make that call. THAT prediction isn't based on his model. That was just based on his own observations about Trump's behavior. He made that call before I did, but we used the same reasoning there. Trump is a criminal. He hasn't stopped being a criminal. He seemingly doesn't take advice from anyone except perhaps from Stephen Miller, and that shows a great lack of...well, everything.
this week is going to be epic. Solid chance Trump ends this week in the hospital, like last week.
Sondland and Volker are both testifying - both lied to congress already...what are they going to say now? Anything? Will they take the 5th? Show up at all?
And Vindman! Others!
And now that two Dem governors won races in Trumplandia, his sycophants in congress are going to start edging away from him. I'd guess that is what drove spanks to the hospital - some messages from elected Rs that they don't want anything to do with him.
Man, those two R losses could not have come at a worse time for Trump.
If trump thought last week was bad, he's going to be in a fetal ball by the end of this one.
Hey Flagpole---A lot of people writing online still say that Republican senators won't vote to convict no matter how bad Trump looks from evidence coming out and from his lifetime achievement as a criminal. Do you still think he will be removed? What is the tipping point for Republican senators? I really hope you're right.
On the first Saturday in June 2020 at the OHSAA state track meet, I hope I can find you at the flagpole in Jesse Owens Stadium --- we can celebrate as the dust settles on the Trump admin.

I forgot the Stefanik episode. She was a fine moderate republican...then she goes to the dark side of trumpism and BAM her opponent gets $1 million dollars of funding.
Whatever moderate Rs remaining are NOT going to end up Stefaniking their careers. They'll stay away from Trump.
Stefanik intentionally spoke out of turn just to get the clip of Schiff gavelling her not speak.
Pure Trump suck up.

But a quick bio on her shows she's not quite Republican on ideology.
She’s one of the few GOP lawmakers to vote against the party’s sweeping 2017 tax bill, back equal rights for LGBT Americans and support an effort to grant legal status to young undocumented immigrants.
Not of that matters if you say nice things about Trump.

Gotta throw Stefanik in the mix, she turned into one odd character. For these minions it must be 5% belief in the witch hunt and 95% just have to play along to please the leader. I don't know what's worse between gym's screaming, her aggression and counsel almost falling asleep while questioning the ex-ambassador.
Would trump pull a Trigged and run away when the house of cards crashes or will he sit there and take it?

Yep, doesn't matter. Just praise and defend me publicly and I will return the favor. Apparently he has become more unhinged in his rallies, recently begging the crowd in Louisiana to help the GOP.
None of this matters for the 35-40% of voters who will never stop supporting Trump. They support him because he's not a Dem. Quid pro quo or pay to play is 100% ok as long as it benefits their side and sticks it to the Dems, Constitution be damned.
Because of that and the number of deep red States you will not get enough Senators to flip.
Don't let the recent governor elections confuse you. A Dem as the KY Governor is actually the norm.
Alan
And don't confuse LA for AL. Louisiana's governorship has flipped back and forth and the Dem was the incumbent.
