As I said. Someone has probably died in a civil war in some sh!thole country as I type this. It's a tragedy but there's nothing we can do about it. If you're massively in debt, do you take out a massive loan to donate to charity? That's what foreign aid is - especially if it's a country without resources or without a location of vital strategic importance.

you don't have to be a bleeding heart liberal to support foreign aid. foreign aid can be a soft power tool. that country views you better and thinks you're nice. when you need a favor, overflight rights, basing, expertise, coalitions, votes at the UN, maybe they just do it. don't ask for a thing.
we have taken this way in the other direction, some sort of pro wrestling thing where we publicly feud with everyone. you then have few friends. you then don't get free favors. you make enemies, you get turned down for help, or you have to wave some sort of "deal" with expensive incentives just to get cooperation.
trump makes enemies and turns even friendships into the annoying sort of reciprocity relationship where you're a little too aware who owes who what.

we always end up paying for the things he supposedly already fundraised. and the GOP seems in on it inasmuch as they're already talking like we need to go ahead and pay with taxes for the rebuilt east wing aka ballroom.
it starts to make perfect sense why his businesses fail. if your business doesn't raise sufficient money for projects. if your costs overrun because you can't control yourself. if you deliberately p*ss people off whose grace you may need later. if you actively try to screw contractors. eventually you get dropped in the grease, no one helps you out, and you go bankrupt.
You mean the war in Ukraine that Putin started because he wanted to install a puppet state government and not the war that Trump started against Iran to prevent them from building a nuclear weapon that they were already incapable of building and only resulted in empowering Iran with their choke hold on the Straight of Hormuz and laid bare the limitations of America’s military might?

However, I see that continued diplomacy with China could be of benefit to us. Perhaps, a bilateral lowering of tariffs is coming next.

You are a RINO. I like to see Trump follow through decoupling from China by building a wall in the pacific. Japan and Australia will pay it.
None of us want this Iranian government to have nuclear weapons, agreed? So what’s the best, most effective means to do that? What were the goals of this military campaign and have they come anywhere close to achieving them?
