2. The Nord stream pipeline was sabotaged by the US or NATO aligned forces. Russia certainly isn't going to destroy their own pipeline.
3. Ukraine armed forces would not be standing without Billions of aid from the west.

2. It appears that the pipeline was blown by some loose cannon mercenaries. Although no one knows. Just not clear. Probably not RU, but who knows. They've been cutting cables for years now so they think that way. Maybe RU thought blowing up nordstream would force europe to give up ukraine in order to get gas flowing again.
3. Ukraine needs help from the west, but not from the USA. The USA stopped supporting ukraine in any material way a while back and UKR is getting by just fine with other nations carrying the load. Since USA is not funding ukraine materially and UKR is doing fine, even winning, and USA desperately needs to learn how to fight drone wars...I think it's fair to say that the USA needs ukraine more than ukraine needs the USA.
