Hate to break it to you, but this list is a bit of a joke for a school like Texas.
They signed TWO American sprinters who are very solid recruits. Other than those two this is not the type of recruiting Texas should be doing. If you are at the premiere public school in the United States that actually cares about their track program, and you are going after B-level juco kids and Jamaicans then you are missing the boat. This is not the way you win NCAA championships at the University of Texas.
TBB has always been a lazy recruiter. This just proves she still is.
JC heavy classes won Pat Henry and staff PLENTY of National Titles during his time at LSU. At that time Blinn CC etc. were pipelines for him and he took in al.
BTW, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, and Kentucky would have something to say about your claim that Texas is "the premiere public school in the United States that actually cares about their track program." I guess it's still the same as it was 20 years ago. Texas fans think they are the center of the universe, even though they don't win anymore, and haven't in many years!

Looks to me that the Coaches can’t recruit hence a recruiting position added to the search as well.
Such a shame that they haven’t capitalized off off Christian Coleman’s success. (Not to mention they inherited Coleman from the Clark era)
Tennessee needs coaches that can coach AND recruit! Stop hiring for the optics!

Unfortunately, BAS is (and has always been) all about appearances rather than substance.
Nearly every big program has a recruiting coordinator. It has nothing to do with the recruiting prowess of the staff. It's simply the person who does all the paperwork with visits, initial eligibility, travel etc.

What you’re referring to is the director of ops duties in regards to recruiting.(Or at least at the power5 SEC school I worked at)
The recruiting coordinator handles the jumpforward account, compiling list of all recruits staff is Interested in recruiting, sending out initial mass group mailing. Keeping contact will all PSAs. Narrowing down list for official visits which then goes to the DO OPs who then does all of what you mentioned.

Some teams have D of Ops and some have a Recruiting Coordinator and some have both whose duties are intertwined. Sometimes it's a paid position and often it's volunteers trying to get a foot in the door. But, I'm sure you knew...

If a program has a Director of Ops it’s likely a bigger school which means that position is certainly not a volunteer position.
A “recruiting coordinator is even rarer and is likely an event coach who just has better experience with recruiting and using the programs etc. a volunteer assistant is very limited in regards to recruiting. Yes they can use the jumpforward, conduct Home visits, etc. they’re usually helping either the director of ops or the assistant who is the recruit coordinator or both. But a volunteer assistant isn’t gonna be the sole recruit coordinator or D of ops. Nope

All I’ve got is Coach Henry already has a few guys in mind to replace francique. Look for someone to make a return to the SEC after a brief departure.
Coaching jobs don’t really come up until after regionals/nationals
