2025 College Track & Field Open Coaching Positions Discussion

I am familiar with the situation at UK. As we all know, Hakon Devries was under investigation for what goes without saying. While Devries was not terminated during the investigation, Coach Michael Porter stepped in to finish out the season. I am unsure the results of the investigation but as of Regionals Coach Devries was still under contract although not coaching. I am under the impression he will not be retained for next season and I would imagine we will hear about the new hire soon. I do not expect it to be Coach Porter.

What happened at FSU? who left?

Hakon will be retained at Kentucky. 80+% of Title IX investigations don’t end in a “conviction”. Although having your name drug through the mud for two months by 19 year old girls is still somewhat damaging.. Lonnie stands for the truth though and Hakon has a job if he can survive the emotional abuse these kids are putting him through.

what are the allegations? lots of talk here but no real details makes me think no one actually knows what they are talking about

Speaking of which, has ANYONE heard what is going on at PSU? Things have gone silent and there has been relatively little speculation.

what happens to the jumps, multi's, and throws coaches on their staff?

I am pretty sure they will be let go with some type of package. It sucks that our sport is being killed.

I heard Edrick fired the whole Texas staff today, even the ops person.

A HC can only turn over their entire staff once. If they do it again, it means the HC is the problem.
