There are severe potential sanctions for frivolous lawsuits. Early dismissal and pay your opponent's expensive attorney fees.
There should be severe criminal penalties for misusing the US courts to target political opponents. Prison terms for judges, attorneys, officials or plaintiffs involved.
This is already solidly embedded in anti-SLAPP laws. But it spilled over into criminal courts where anti-SLAPP doesn't apply. Who holds a DA, an AG responsible for a frivolous criminal charge?
