Thanks and interesting. I'm too naive to spot clickbait but overall I assume she like the other youtubers leaves herself at high risk of mental health breakdown by choosing this horribly overexposed way of existing. She might end up the richest but most disliked UK 2.29 marathon woman. Like Parkes or Bester ( tbf I think she has better personal qualities than they do, tho imo they set a low bar) loved by the midpacker newbies who dont know the real sport but can gush and simper on YouTube comments; laughing stock/contempt from their peers.

That’s an unfair comparison, she’s far more of a serious competitive runner than Parkes or Bester ever have been or will be. She’s represented England numerous times, her marathon PR is just outside of the womens Olympic marathon standard and she’s not a million miles off the girls who made that team. A fairer comparison would be someone like Steven Scullion who’s probably a similar percentage off the Olympic standard as she is (I can’t be bothered to do the math) and he loves the sound of his own voice as much as she does.
I agree that her goofy ‘YouTube’ personality is super annoying, if you watch a video from a year + ago she’s much more digestible and less forced, but you can’t really deny her talent, she’s way above sub-elite / influencer level. And given shes still running PBs on the track, she should be able to knock some more time off her marathon PB during the next Olympic cycle.

Yes without doubt she's a higher achiever than the other 2 and I'm aware that she has borderline realistic OG goals and trains and races and lives accordingly. That is all good. But I'm not sure bester or in his better years Parkes (2.25 oh yes indeedy) train or live with any less performance focus than Bowden. They just have lesser relevant genetic gifts. (I've known of Bowdens athlete profile since she was at school btw). But even if she was running 2.19 and not 2.29 my views on her modus operandi would be the same. These are about what sort of person she presents as, not about some running stats.( I suspect that womens marathon QT for 2028 will be faster than for 2024 too.)
Some classic SJD content today. He's up at the Mt. Bierstadt parking lot pretending like he doesn't know that the box he is about to open is the Speedgoat 6. Says that reviewing running shoes is not in his "long term plans and goals" and there are "more important things in life". He says he's working on a 140 mile week and is ahead of last year's schedule.
Eric Floberg posted an Instagram story that appears allude that he's starting coaching program. 30 people only.
I like Flo a lot, but find it interesting he's starting a coaching program. Hopefully he goes through a coaching program, at least. He's stated in many videos over the last few years that he's learning as he goes and wants to take us on the journey.

He hasn’t been running for that long. I’m skeptical on how he knows how to get the best out of his athletes and general basic training principles.
From his recent videos I have feeling that he might be over training. Going from Boston to Brooklyn Half to the “Summer of Speed” without a break is going to cook him. He’s already talking about tendinitis and energy levels being low.
Per Reddit, running sensation Matthew Choi will toe the Leadville Trail starting line. Reportedly, his brother with surgically attached e-bike will be there, too.

I volunteer as tribute to go stick a bike pump in the front spokes of the e bike. Who coming with me?

Seth will apparently be there too for the Heavy Half. Can't wait for the collab between him and Choi. I'll check that out if I feel like I need some brain damage.
Seth gives us a bizarre intro talking about how the family has been through some "valleys" and he wishes he could talk about it, but he can't. Same vague nonsense he's been doing for a while.

Seth wins in 1:52:55. He also strikes me as the anti-Choi.
