I noticed a 2 liter of soda is now "everyday low price" of $3.49 at Kroger here in Central Indiana. It was $2.79 a few weeks ago. Gas was $4.99 a gallon a week ago, but has dropped to the $4.59 range. It was around $3.19 a couple of months ago.
Swing voters went Trump in 2024 in large part due to inflation and the high cost of living. "Prices will come down, just like magic, very quickly" he said. Prices have not come down. They have gone up.
Instead of lower prices for everyday goods (like "groceries -- a very old word), we get a ballroom nobody cares about, a war we don't want, a pool renovation no one asked for, and dozens of other mindless things that mean nothing to the average American.
Hard for me to understand how ~35% of people still approve of this trash administration. They screw up everything they touch.

The inflation and gas prices are the result of Trump and Trump alone.
It used to be truthful that the US president does not influence gas prices. But we learned that rule had an exception. Like when an idiotic US president unilaterally decides to launch a vanity war of choice and shuts down 20% of the world’s oil’s supply.
