Here is one twist that I could see as potentially coming:

John Bolton has something to say but won't testify unless forced to through the courts.

That would take a while and the Democrats aren't pursuing that.

He hates Democrats and doesn't really want to help them.

But he also isn't fond of Trump.

I can see him doing an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News and give his opinion on what he saw.

He can say that Trump acted inappropriately.

That's not official testimony, but let's face it, it's court of public opinion that matters here than official witness testimony.

He could really damage Trump that way.

YouTube may have a big impact on the impeachment.

The whistle blower IS entitled to whistle blower status because he/she asked for that and went through the proper channels to get that. This person is NOT a leaker.

Since the Democrats are in control of the House, they also changed the rules for what constitutes a whistleblower. Hearsay is now permitted. This is politics people.
