    On numerous occasions, I have tried to encourage people from both sides to maintain a much more civil discourse. Typically, that doesn't work, but it's not for lack of effort.

    We've tried to have a civil conversation, many times but unfortunately your buddies 'believe" they are always right....so no, there won't a civil conversation with their attitude.

    Rather than capping NIH indirect costs, we should cap the amount of money a state can receive in federal aid. Limit it to how much federal tax revenue they generate.

    Among the top 20 states that take more money from the federal government than they sent in tax payments, 13 are solidly red states that voted for Trump in the last three elections, according to an analysis by the Rockefeller Institute of Government into the fiscal 2024 budget. Meanwhile, the top five states (and nine of the top 10) that send more money to the Treasury Department than they receive voted for Democrats in the last three presidential elections.

    But here is the kicker. The specific offensive expense he is tweeting out to hundreds of millions is one that he signed and approved during his own damn administration in 2018.

    So draining the swamp would require him to drain himself..
