Your 5k pb and marathon pb seem very far from being linked, which might mean you lack of endurance.
Someone posted a website that takes account of 2 race times to get you an approximation of LT pace (so it actualy takes your endurance into account) :
Maybe give a try to run your subt at the pace written, or even just a bit below. In fact, that principle is not to run as close as possible of LTHR, but tend to it for the last seconds of the last rep to be close. Remember that the sessions sould not make you die at all.
Looks awful to me. I've recently ran a 15:33 and a 70 minute half, in the lead up for a marathon. If then has my marathon time down as 169 minutes LOL. Well I just ran a marathon at the weekend in 150.
Plugged a running buddies 5k and HM times who is a bit slower than me, it also gave laughable numbers. We both train using this method.
I've rarely seen anyone train using this method here and have massive gaps in between VDOT times. In fact, the strength of this method is it seems most people's times have compressed and are comparable over a vast number of distances, right down to the 800 if you look at what probably the fastest guy here cheetodust has shared.
But obviously the advice you shared of how the sessions can be run is spot on.
