His "electability" is a self-fulfilling prophecy. People support him because they think he is going to win. That pushes up his polling numbers, making more people believe he is the most electable candidate. But that will start to crumble once more people take serious look at other candidates. He has already fallen to 4th place in both Iowa and New Hampshire. And unless there is any scandal involving Warren, Sanders or Buttigieg, I cannot see how he could go up between now and polling dates.

I just hope Biden will not have "I have a scream" moment like Howard Dean.

Yeah...he has a better chance than Harris, but he has no shot. Unless something drastic happens, it's between Biden and Warren. I would put Buttigieg in there as a dark horse in third currently. Understanding of course that I am just talking about the Democratic nomination here. I believe ANY of those mentioned would beat Trump...if he's still allowed to run.

Klobuchar is my favorite. She has a great resume, attended Yale and the University of Chicago law school, is moderate and is significantly younger than the three geezers. I also believe she would have the best chance of beating Trump. It's frustrating she can't get past 1-2%.

Klobuchar is pretty great. If I had to look at JUST policy stuff, I would have to agree with you...she aligns the best with my goals and values. The more I hear from her, the more I like her. Right now I think she's just too far back and overshadowed by Warren.

Dems have a tendency to get so ahead of the in your face pressing issues that they tend to look like they are disconnected from reality. How hard is it to use current facts to support their position and just run with that. Getting fancy with ideas doesn’t resonate with a majority of simple Americans who just want to be assured they can get by.

If election were tomorrow I think Dems would have majority in both House and Senate and only Biden could beat Trump at the moment. It would be awful to have another 4 years of citizen moron but at least he wouldn't have any wiggle room and would probably ensure that Dems stay in control for that much longer after he’s gone.

I am not a paid troll nor do I love to support Trump. I see a concerted effort to impeach which has been going on since the election. Whether you like it or not it is a nation of laws and that applies to how with elect Presidents, appoint justices to the Supreme Court, and how we proceed through an impeachment.

You are arguing the wrong position with me. My point was not against the us being a nation of laws but was about you posting the same BS as the people you seem to dislike.

That point is separate from the fact that I think Trump is a bad president and bad for the US. I've said nothing about impeachment or Russia or the Bidens or Rudy or any of that. That is your battle apparently.

My character is already built. Tons of great places to live in Southern California, and it's not JUST because it's warmer. Ocean close, Mountains (with colder temperatures if I want that) close, amazing National Parks both in California and adjacent to, lots of HUGE biceps competitions I can enter, etc.

It's interesting with this elimination of people with "no chance" that Buttigieg remains as someone with a chance.

He's 37 and almost no one ever hear of him before this year.

That would in itself be the longest shot on the field.

Coincidentally, "no chance" was the exact odds that Flagpole gave Trump to win - over and over and over for the months leading up to the 2016 election.

It is a narrative to denigrate Trump voters. One could argue the opposite side uses inner city voting blocks controlled by the bosses. Or government workers hoping to remain on the dole.
