https://www.lawfareblog.com/constitution-says-bribery-impeachable-what-does-meanwell ok...you'd have to buy into this whole thing as being 'bribery'
but it isn't what you generally think of when you think of bribery. This is more like hardball diplomacy. You'd have to prove that trump really knew bidens were innocent, that ukraine had nothing to do with 2016. I seriously doubt trump thought either of those things.
But sure, ok, some legal scholars might see 'bribery' here. seems weak to me tho.
I say toss all that out the window. His relentless baldface crying and lying means that these offenses, no matter how obvious, don't resonate with enough people. They are numb to it. The hypnosis is so strong that for many tzees to turn on their pick, the deep state conspiracy would pretty much have to be mangled. That is a high bar to shift public opinion in Dems' favor. The best they can do is to complete this impeachment as thoroughly as possible and nominate someone who is best positioned to beat him in the key states.
Let me remind everyone of the massive advantage trump has built up. He's never stopped campaigning since he took office. Those tax breaks... pure voting manipulation. The favor is being repaid when you look at his campaign funds. The "deep state" is behind him 100%.
