Yovanovich testified that diplomats had to contact Hannity at Fox News to find out why he was trying, on-air, to get her fired!

She refused, to her eternal credit. most career workers would not have had the strength or the bank account. Right now there are thousands of career gov't workers who have chosen to stay with the regime and support the lies and corruption instead. That's how we die as a nation of honor.

According to the transcript, Yovanovitch she asked Sondland for advice on how to handle an onslaught of criticism from conservative media and Donald Trump Jr.

"He said, 'You know, you need to go big or go home. You need to, you know, tweet out there that you support the president, and that all these are lies and everything else,'" she told the committees. "It was advice that I did not see how I could implement in my role as an ambassador, and as a Foreign Service officer."

Another example of how a nation systematically adopts corruption - trump keeps moving the goal post and "warning" Rs who don't support him 100%. First, he claimed the whole thing about the call was a lie. Then the call transcript was released and he said it a perfect phone call and no quid pro quo. No Rs called him out. Then when it became clear that there was quid pro quo he's saying yes but so what. That is now the position of the GOP on the matter - that there was abuse of power but so what. Trump attacks life long servants who have remained neutral serving under both R and Dem presidents. The GOP raises little concern in hopes of the public just accepting that this is trump.

Sorry, busy at work earlier. On the Trump vote it was definitely anti-Clinton. Impeachment has been a Democratic cry since before the inauguration. I am fine with it, but disagree that I think there is substance. Suspect it is more political games l. That said, let’s see where it goes, if there is substance Trump will be convicted. For someone who claims to be cynical of both parties, it's strange that you wouldn't consider the possibility that there is both substance to the impeachment inquiry and that Trump is ultimately not removed by the GOP controlled Senate and wins a second term.

What I don't get about the Trump movement is what his supporters think happens after he succeeds in burning down the government.

This. Trump supporters are looking at unwavering GOP support for him as evidence of his innocence... it's pretty twisted logic. It doesn't work that way. Reality = if GOP feels Trump can blind the public enough with his tactics (which he can) they will NOT convict him. That should go without saying.

Appeals Court ruling:

"presidential immunity does not bar a state grand jury from issuing a subpoena in aid of its investigation of potential crimes committed by persons within its jurisdiction, even if that investigation may in some way implicate the president."

His ego is his worst enemy. It has and will continue to make him commit "unforced errors". As long it's not at a trump rally and there are young and educated people, he will likely get booed.
