I disagree, we are better served by upfront and totally transparent Adam Schiff and House Impeachment Inquiry. Balance that with Barr Report and Durham investigation. Much will be exposed as we move along just as it did with the Steele Dossier and the Kavanaugh Hearing. So I see this all as a good thing. We are already seeing that as more information is revealed. I welcome and look forward to the coming weeks, perhaps months, and hopefully we will have a trial in the Senate. It may not be the outcome you expect (as with the Mueller Report and Kavanaugh Hearing).

Warren is an Oklahoman. She has always played well in middle America. She is far more plain-spoken than Biden.

That counts for a lot when voters are sizing up a candidate.

The new Dem congressmen from Trump districts will have to go on record as supporting the corrupt leaking lying Schiffbag being in charge of an obviously unfair impeachment inquiry. They won't be reelected but Trump will.

Warren's ideas will not play well with most Americans. If people were significantly scared and hurt financially then revolutionary changes that Warren proposes might be acceptable, but people don't feel that way.

People are tired of the lies and the lack of morals and instability of trump, that is why Biden can feel the void left by trump.

Agip is right. What plays strongly in the Democratic primary may not play as strongly in the general. Biden has weathered attacks from both sides, Warren has only had a small taste of being attacked. Her standing could change.

Biden if elected is a one term guy, his VP pick would be huge.

You may be right about future attacks. We don't know how Warren will handle that.

But most people vote for a person and not a policy. Both candidates are good with the working class, but Warren appears to care more deeply and thus, she is more appealing.

Warren, Sanders, and Biden are basically tied right now. Of the three, average voters know the least about Warren. She has more upside as voters start to understand who she is and what she's about.

As I've said for months, Warren's candidacy all depends on whether voters see the schoolteacher from Oklahoma or the professor from Harvard.

My understanding is that in MA elections Warren has done very poorly among West Massachusetts small town/rural voters. Much worse than she should. So it seems clear to me that she is being viewed as a harvard professor, not an Oklahoma girl. Call that unfair, but it is what it is. Her campaign, full of technocratic solutions, is certainly Harvardesque rather than Oklahoma-esque. For whatever reason, Biden doesn't trigger that 'he's looking down on me' feeling that Warren seems to trigger.

That said...Biden won't energize the Dem base as much as Warren would...so it's a balancing act. It's all about the suburbs and black turnout. Since Biden is way, way, way more popular among blacks, he seems to be the better choice to me.

HRC led strongly over Obama for all of 2007. Only in January 2008, a month before IA and NH, did Obama start moving up. he passed her in February.

HRC led in the fall of 2007 (corresponding to now) 45-22. Seemed dominating. It wasn't.

So we're still early.

Yes, of course he's still well below 50%--he's never been there--but I think we're seeing the Baghdadi Bump that some were predicting. And he's several points better than his all-time low from late 2017.

I don't think Warren has fresh energy to bring, but no question she should maintain solid support. Pete has been flying under the radar mostly, picking his speaking points wisely and not ruffling any feathers. I think he has potential to surprise by being more outspoken and fired up.
