In short, the cons outweigh the pros enough to push my grade below "failing".

I had actually put some time into thinking about this, and also came up with that grade--but not for exactly the same reasons (nice summary, though). I was actually going to go with a D+ (seriously), but then I found out more about the gutting of the EPA and had to ratchet it down a bit. This is based on the question being about the entire administration and not just DJT.

I could see the overall grade improving into the C range--or declining a bit more, I suppose--depending on further activity of the president and his staff/cabinet.

Full disclosure: I did not vote for Trump or Obama, and I never would have given BHO any flavor of A--not sure about a B, even. So maybe I'm a fairly tough grader.

What makes you think s/he mightn't have given Obama a similarly low grade?

I think the point of the grading is to get away from a knee-jerk our side/their side response and to actually look at (and *think* about) the administration as a whole. I liked how s/he included pluses as well as minuses--that shows some thought, rather than just a reflex.

Whether you think Trump has done some good or if you think he is has done only bad there is one thing everyone should agree upon

In a time of crisis, if he tells us we need to go to war and should enlist to fight, very few people would believe him. Few would trust him. Few would have confidence in his judgement. Other countries know this and that makes us vulnerable.

His antics and responses to things make him appear to most people (not die-hard fans of course) as having significant emotional problems. This makes us vulnerable to foreign countries. They see his lack of stability and his lack of leadership. He puts us in a weak position.

Like it or not, it's how things currently stand.
