I actually voted for Trump because of the stupidity and mental gymnastics coming from the Left to justify incompetence but now I see the same thing on the Right. I just won't even bother voting in 2028.

If the US didn't want Israel to attack iran, israel will not attack iran. Rubio is saying there was nothing the us could do to stop it. That's poppycock.
rubio was improvising and didn't think through what he was saying. rubio's goal was to say an iranian attack was imminent because the War Powers act insists an imminent threat is the only way to avoid congress. And this formulation makes an attack on the us appear to have been imminent.
