Now my shape has developed fast and I run training times equal to a 23:30 min 5k
I think it’s beyond the realm of reasonableness to jump from a 26:30 TT (close to 25 min race fitness) to 23:30 shape in about two weeks. I think you’re deluding yourself.
Kindly note this is my first direct challenge to your claims; I’ve been following along with suspended disbelief and hopeful well wishes so far. While it’s good to be optimistic, it’s never (in my experience) good to overreach wildly.
Well, you see I advance fast with the Dancan System . It's kind of magical but I'm used to this scenario from all my coaching cases during now 11 years as an online running coach so I'm not surprised. 🧙♂️

One of the many good things with the Dancan is that you know almost exactly where you are in shape when you climb the ladder to reach your max possible race results. The system never trick you to believe you are better than you are.
The relatively easy effort in the training sessions together with the pulse control makes sure you always are on the right track to your goal target.🧙♂️
JS, i fully support your mission here, but you talk a bit TOO BIG. my gut tells me if you are to run a time trial this weekend, you shoot for a reasonable 25:00. NOT 23:30.

Yes, you have a good point there, thanks. Maybe next week I go for a TT at 24:30 or 25:00 min.
Today it was an easy steady run and 80 min at 6:31 min / km . An extra boost of mitochondria and enzymes the 20 min from 60 min to 80 min. Easy done.🧙♂️

Today a very good easy steady 60 min run @ 6:31 min per km . Pulse around 137 and calm very controlled breathing . Tomorrow I plan a threshold interval again and atleast 6 x 5 min @ 5:00 min per km and rest back to 120bpm. 🧙♂️

Today threshold maxLT2 interval 6 x 1000m @ 5 min , walk rest back to 120bpm 1-2 min . I feel great! 🇸🇪🧙♂️🇸🇪

I will try not ro talk TOO BIG, but it's difficult to avoid when I have this fast improvement going on.))
Today 20 x 1 min @ 4:34 min per km pace and rest easy walk back to 120 bpm in 60-90 sec. Highest pulse 162 .....
Felt easy and very controlled. Could have done atleast 5 more reps if forced to....
w/ 12x3 mins at 4:55, 24:30 should be a walk in the park. you are pretty much at 7200 meters of 24:30 pace.
Thanks. 🖐🧙♂️ Yes, my "muscle memory" seems to be very good. But I try as you agree not to advance too quick even if the system improves the runner fast.
Tomorrow another easy steady run and then on Saturday I plan another short reps faster threshold and short rests between ..... Jancan ! )) 😁🖐🧙♂️🇸🇪
No, I wait probably two more weeks and then try a 24:30. Want the higher level sink in little more. 🖐🧙♂️
But 1 week ago you said you were in 23:30 shape. 24:30 would be your 10k pace.
Well, I'm actually in 23:30 shape now, and if I had done a race 5 k now in good conditions outside I had been around that time. Next TT I will just play it safe and run 24:30 on the treadmill...like a 5 k up to the days shape at 10 k pace.
