Thursday’s UConn-Notre Dame women’s college basketball game averaged a 0.49 rating and 847,000 viewers on ESPN, easily the most-watched game of the women’s season thus far. Notre Dame’s win, which peaked with 915,000 viewers, delivered the largest pre-January women’s college basketball audience on the ESPN networks since 2011.
three wins against top 5 teams by mid December is an amazing accomplishment. Notre Dame is so good. might be the best back court Ive ever seen. Hidalgo can disrupt game plans defensively and take over games all by herself offensively and Miles makes her all the more dangerous with her passing ability and her great three point shooting. definitely not a team you want to see come tournament time assuming they are all still healthy.

They will get even better once Westbeld is back. How did that team lose to TCU and Utah?
We were watching the football game and then muted the TV at the end and went in another room. This game came on after and didn't get turned off until halftime when we came back. I bet a lot of views were from this.

😂 this is the worst attempt at gas lighting away high ratings for a popular women's sports event Ive ever seen. and I suppose the 15,564 who sold out XL Center to watch that game were actually there for an earlier men's hockey game and fell asleep in their seats and when the woke up a women's basketball game was happening. 😂😂

Syla Swords! 27/12 out of the gate against South Carolina no less. almost pulled off the upset single handedly against the top team in the country while the rest of her team shot under 30%. I guess Americans now know what Canadians have known for a while. and if shes legit what does that mean for her Maple Leaf buddy Fournier? theyve had the poor kid on a dunk count down since she announced for Duke. exciting times north of the border for womens basketball these days...
now puts up 30 against number one UCLA. this kid clearly has no fear and naturally burns the hardest against the best competition. thats a quality some of the greatest to ever play have had. she and Olivia Olson have to be the best freshman duo in the country. Michigan is going to be a tough out as those two develop. both good sized for their positions and can handle and create off the dribble.
doesnt seem right. Bueckers was just meant for LA.
Paige may still end up going to LA if Dallas decides to take Olivia Miles instead. There is a lot of speculation on this because of OM's much improved three-point shooting. She is about the only top player I can think of who got significantly better after a long injury layoff.
