Republicans saw how unpopular they were becoming as they lost special elections, VA, GOP congress members walk away, etc. So they listened to Trump because they thought they could actually rig elections the way they have been claiming was the case for a decade of Trump's lies. Their attempted rig clearly shows how unpopular they are as red states have refused and blue/ purple states responded proportionally to the TX election rig.
Anger and chaos get the base riled up, but it isn't good governing and it makes people uneasy, unhappy, and more importantly, it is making them poorer. If Trump did something other than enrich himself with the GOP backing him, they might be doing better in elections.

Why is ICE so inept at catching these "worst of the worst" criminals before they commit new crimes? That is what Trump promised, right? Yet maskedoff seems to find a new batch of criminals everyday that Trump's incompetent ICE can't find despite roaming the streets of every city in America with masks and guns with no limits on who they can detain without warrants. Do 5 year olds look more dangerous? Or do 5 year old boys look more appealing to these people hired for their undying loyalty to Epstein’s best friend?
